The Shark10 and the B11 share the same piston and sleeve. They do not have the same crankshaft tho. The Shark10 uses the crankshaft out of the C6/B10. The new B11 has a new crank timing that is a little less aggressive and will yeild a little better run times with a little less overall power. The B11 also has the new head button that had an o-ring support in it, but thats not any kind of performance change.

Parts for the Shark should still be available since it is the B11 P/S/R and the C6/B10 crank.

Still looking for a head button. Anyone have a spare ?

I think your best bet is to buy a new one, Amain has some.

Yea, I really didn't want to buy a new one. It's going to be milled
down to change the compression ratio and squish band anyways.
I only run one .10 mm head shim on the C6 that Neal at CRE just
modded for me. Along with a #8 glowplug, the engine turns some
serious rpm's and is insanely ballistic. I like it so much, I want him
to mod up another one for me.

That sounds interesting.

Hello, I have a few questions regarding the RB Sport 10 engine. I am considering this engine because it is in my price range, and these engines seem to have a good reputation for being easy to tune and reliable. How would this engine handle being in a truggy? It will be going in my Thunder Tiger ST1 Pro. As I understand it 3 port engines tend to have more lower end torque, and I've had people tell me a .21 engine is just fine in a truggy, and that a .26 or .28 isn't really needed, any thoughts? thanks

Hello, I am considering getting an RB Sport 10. I am considering this engine because it is in my price range and have heard good things about them being reliable and fairly easy to tune. I am wondering if this engine would do well in a truggy? It would be going into my Thunder Tiger ST-1 Pro. I will mainly be club racing with it and the occasional bash with it. I haven't really found much info from people who have this particular engine, most people get the higher end engines. I basically just want something with decent power/ easy to tune. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have had a few engines that the crankshaft is a very tight fit in the bearings. When I have noticed it's a little tough to get the crank in all the way I just install the clutch and remove it a few times. This should pull the crank the rest of the way forward if it did not go all the way in the first time. If you already have 3 gallons with no issues there is nothing to worry about.

Thank you chris.I'm more a sport racer, and didn't realy knew If that was a problem.
So far my RB is runing great.

Just got a Killer 10 in a great deal and figured I would try it out in my RC8B. I haven't had a chance to read through the entire thread but I am working on it (60 pages left)
I have 2 pipes available to me at this point A Dynamite Platinum 086 HS or a Nova Rossi 9901 SS. Which would be the best for a fairly tight track (Family Hobbies in Vineland, NJ) I know the 86 used to be considered a top end pipe, not sure of the 9901.

Chris Peralta 08-04-2011 06:28 AM

For a pretty tight track I am gona guess that the 9901 might be a bit better but the 86 pipes always make pretty good power as well, but are meant to be more of a top end pipe. The best way to know what is best for you ad your driving style is to try them both back to back. There isn't anything anyone here can tell you that will be more valuable than that 30 minutes of testing.
