Go-Tech Engines Thread

Here's a how-to, cut and pasted from a previous post:
"Fuel tube O rings are easy. Remove the LSN and HSN needles and cut off the crappy dry brown factory O rings. Now cut a piece of fuel tubing a little wider than the O ring groove on the needles. Open the tubing using the end of a pair of needle nose pliers and slip it over the screw driver slot end of the needle. Fit the leading edge into the O ring groove and leave the tail end sitting out of the groove. Now screw the needles in to their seats and the excess fuel tubing will be neatly cut off as it passes the end of the needle housings. Unscrew needles again and remove any excess tubing material. Refit the needles and your done."
we have the Nitrile kits on line

Just took Kendall's Gx 5 port apart this week. After about 3 gallons on it I was curious to see how the coated internals are lasting. I found out when when I had to work the rod a little bit to get it off the crank! The crank did not show any wear at all with a micrometer, the rod was worn maybe .0005" (1/2 thousadths) It was realy impressive, Kendall runs his stuff hard and typically wears his motors much faster than me since we he runs them a little leaner. I am betting the Gx motors will last almost twice as long now with the coated parts.

We are finding the same with the GX motors here. The internals look brand new after a couple of gallons, and you really struggle to get the rod off before 2 - 2.5 gallons. No wear on the coated crank pin.
They are proving to be a very stout motor, with excellent performance

Where can I find an oring kit for all five orings on the motor? It's older non GX engine with the red anodized head.
. Got you confused with someone else.
