 are you sure it's a 25 5port not a 21 5port as the go 21 5port comes with a silver head and the GO 25 is a 6 port with a red head on it

yes thats what i thought till i seen it, the guy was in china and had several 21s a blue hd 28, and another 25 5 port silver hd. for 50$ + 15$shippn NIB. my pal won his for 40+shipn havnt seen it run yet, just wonder if these are old versions or knockoffs. look like GO's???
I probably wouldn't touch them as any deal thats sounds to good to be true usually is, for simple reasons like parts backup and parts quality Adrian:tire: |
I had recently bought a Go 25 6port from amain and they sent me a 28 but i am still not sure of the port? red head. anyways I love Go engines and will probably stick with them forever but last weekend at the race my burn room came loose from the factory seal and I was up to about 340 degrees when I temped it. Anyone have this happen?

I have seen heads come loose on almost every brand motor. I check them like I check all the other bolts on my car.

http://www.massivemods.com.au/produc...&products_id=8 The .28 will have a little more grunt then the .25, but is a little thirstier on the fuel. These are an animal of a motor :sneaky: You won't lack power for any situation. The head button coming loose is just one of those things. You should periodically go over the motor and check things like head bolts, backplate screws, pinch bolt screws etc, and nip them up if necessary. Just make it part of the routine when you clean your truggy and motor. Remember to always tighten things like head bolts in a crosswise pattern, for an even torquing down of the surfaces, and don't overtighten. |
Hey Grizz, you have MM5 5 port don`t you?Do you reckon a new MM5 gen 5.5 5 port(a lot of 5`s):rolleyes:would push a Muggen truggy along okay?My VSpec gave up the ghost and needs replacing.

The Stage 5 5 ports are modified mainly for use in the buggy. They have more power across the board, but are timed for a softer bottom end so you don't flip your buggy over backwards :D, plus extended top end like a 7 Port. With these changes they are nasty in a buggy, but for sheer bottom end pull in a truggy the stock motor is probably better. Mark at Massive Mods may well be able to tweak you a Stage 5 5 Port with all the power and the full bottom end too - if so, go for it big time, as the 5 Ports are a superb motor. As a bye line - The new Gen 6 6 Port (which is basically a highly modded 5 Port and a bit more) will hit the tracks soon. HP specs like you would not believe (dyno tested just the other day with 2072 pipe - x.x hp at the wheels) I won't give the figures out in case Mark's keeping it a secret for a little longer, but let me tell you it's higher than your probably thinking  It is some motor. |
Ben,
i had run a stock Gen 5, 5 port in my rc8t and rc8 for close to 6 months now and it was just a great engine! it now has a few 5.5 parts in it due to some wear and tear (mainly as a result of things i was doing lol) but when run with the 2072 or 0801 pipe the 5port rocks the truggy from go to whoa! for the price of a "top shelf" engine you can easily get a 5 Port and Pipe combo and still have $$$ left over to get 9 litres of MM Amain C2 Blue Dot lol (like that plug) Mike |
