Okay,

Warning, first of many stupid questions... I am trying to get all my stuff ready for the RC8T. I am by no means a pro and was trying to decide which engine to go with. I think I narrowed it down to the .25 or the .21. I have read a lot of different things regarding the two engines. I am really just unsure of which one to go with. And if I decide on a .21 which number of ports to chose from.

What are run times like between the two? Is there a big difference?
Also which pipe is the best for each engine? Dynamite 086?

Some background:
I plan on running 20% fuel (to stay consistent with my other nitro engine).
Short dirt track with jumps.
Maybe even some parking lot racing.

I guess what I am looking for is something that is an all around good performer that is reliable, easy to tune and creates a decent amount of power.

I have the MGT 8.0 which I can tune decently and haven't had any issues with. Are the GO engines just as easy to tune?

Thanks in advance!

RC8T
3 or 7 port
GO 0801 pipe
Runtimes on both 7 to 9 min.

The 5 port and .25 6 port are very strong, if you like smooth feel the 3 and 7 are great, and the pipe is awesome, if it makes to much bottom do like i did, put a shorter header on it and it's golden.

Ok.. time for my entry for the stupid question of the year award. How do I get the fuel intake nozzle on the carb (where the fuel tubing attaches) to face the front of my truck rather than towards the rear. Yesterday the fuel tubing kept getting pulled towards the front of my car which in turn caused the tubing to fold in half at the point of contact with the carb and shut off any fuel getting through (like when you fold a garden hose in half to shut it off). I've seen some people have the fuel intake nozzle pointing towards the front and this would definitely solve my problem.

Also, while I'm at it... what are the factory HSN and LSN settings for the 3R? Thanks guys,

Rushed the break-in a little yesterday so that I could make the race, but qualified for the A Main in my first nitro race ever courtesy of Go-Tech!

Turning the fuel nipple around is easy. Just above the fuel nipple itself you will see the brass pipe that the needle screw sits in has two flat sections. Find a spanner that fits these flat sections and gently undo the pipe a quater turn. Swivel the nipple to the required location, hold it in place while you gently nip the pipe up again. Don't overtighten.
Can't help you with the factory settings on the 3R, but I just know someone out there will have the info

I run 16% oil content so I guess that helps too but if you run like 11% or below well that could be a different story.
My fuel has 10% oil, but I dont think I did any lasting damage. I still havent had a chance to take it apart yet.

10% oil is plenty, your engine should be fine
FYI High speed needle is a 7mm open wrench

The Go 2047 is really good on the 3r, I've tried the 086 and went back to the Go pipe. A friend of mine tried a 2050 Os pipe and he likes the Go pipe better also.

Default 0801 on a 3R?

Has anyone tried the new Go 0801 on the 3R? How does the 2047 and 0801 compare to the 086? Are the Go pipes more for low end compared to the 086?

I have a problem with my carb on my 7 port turbo. I tried to pull it out to seal it with permatex, but when I unscrewed the pinch bolt, the carb would not pull straight out. I then started to twist it back and fourth, but it still never came out. Now it is loose, but only twists and does not wiggle side to side, even when I tighten up the pinch bolt. How can I get the carb out and then get it to tighten up properly. Right now I have had to put silicone all around it to try and stop it from twisting.

I'm looking into possibly getting a go 21 and i was wondering if anyone can tell me the diffrence between the 21 3port sport engine and 21 3 sport race engine. I can't find specs on these? I was also wonder what the diffrences are inside the motor? Is the piston and sleeve the same or diffrent? any info would be greatly appreciated
