Pretty sure ,99.9%, SS/VTA will remain 25.5 (Novak) or Silver can and Novice is open. 25.5 is recommended for novice for progression into SS/VTA which has seemed to be the class Novice racers are choosing to join when they are no longer Novice racers...

25.5 is definitely the right speed for the rug, IMO.

I actually liked the slicks on asphalt. I've had some great races with Pat Plueard where my slicks would start off slow, and his treads would start off fast, and I'd be struggling to stay with him for the first half, and then my slicks would come in and his treads would fade, and he'd struggle to hold me off... Ahhh, Scale Spec is so awesome.

I can't disageed about Pat Pluerd tires fade in the end of the races ,but I run the treaded VTA tires , my tires fade No ,it just get better end of the races.....maye pat over heating or over drive his tires..

Just in the process of moving to the Seattle area -- where is the track you guys run at??

What classes? Maybe should just ask if there is a website with the info? Thanks.

The Seattle area doesn't have any permanent onroad tracks . We have designated places that allow carpet to be temperarly rolled out onto the floor . And a designated spot for curry to assemble his car for the main but it draws good turnout.

If you make it out before the end of the summer, then look at the "FWR Racing Season" thread for info on Fantasy World (Tacoma, south end of the area), "TCS In Washington" for Galaxy Hobbies (Lynnwood, north end of the lake), and "FastTrax NW" www.fasttraxnw.com (Monroe, northeast butt-crack of awesomeness), and definitely check out www.northwestasphaltchallenge.com, because the series is Epic.

Other tracks in the area, a bit farther out, are Four Seasons RC Raceway and Bremerton RC Raceway.

It certainly will be.

Not as long as trying to keep a mod car in one piece for 6 minutes at Four Seasons, though!
