I'm thinking about participating in next month's race at The Shop. It will be my first, outside of club racing at the Hanger.

Where can I find the class specs for Novice for this event?

Facebook says:
Novice/Sportsman: 1/10th Touring Car

Specs for Novice/Sportsman are lenient. Basically, it's "Run What Ya Brung Within Reason." Since this is an ONROAD event, you should bring an electric onroad car, either 1/10th or 1/12th scale, with mild power. If I were to paint a picture of the perfect Novice car, it would be either a Tamiya TT02 Pro Spec or some 6-year-old touring car you bought for cheap and have set up for VTA. Something like that. Bring your own transponder.

Mike, Richie and others in the dual touring crowd.

I'm going to copy what ya'll are doing for touring classes.

Bringing a 25.5 VTA car tonight and will continue to run VTA at Hanger 30 until the end of the season. I signed up for USGT at the shop race and plan to use the USGT spec motor for that race only.

At NORA I'll run 17.5 foam tire and 21.5 stock touring for the rest of the season.

foam tire is fun, I ran a BD8 with a 25.5 and a mazda 6 body at NORA last week, I didn't even change setup from rubber tires and had a blast.
I'll have a extra USGT motor for sale at the Hanger tonight if anyone is interested. Jeff gets first choice though. only two runs on it.

With the USGT 21.5 motor being mandated for The Shop race, will the USGT motor be THE motor for the upcoming Seatac season??
