Brakes: who using what?

AddictedToRacin 07-22-2008 05:02 AM

Well I use something else for my brakes:
brake disc - Capricorn ventilated one - CAP-203
brake pads - Kissling ones
This combination works very well without any fading and with a better brake response in wet and dry conditions!

Beat the Heat Bash - Memphis, TN, USA at Mid South Hobbies

After not being able to show up for the first day of qualifying races, because of prior commitments. Two friends and myself (TeamGPT as we call ourselves) showed up for the second day and last qualifying race. With almost no practice, only one qualifying race and then the main, I'm happy to say that we and our XRAY NT1's sweep the podium at the Beat the Heat Bash in Memphis, TN, USA held by Mid South Hobbies.

1) Edward Beachamp - Gulfport, MS, USA
2) Daniel Beachamp - Gulfport, MS, USA
3) Charles Carr - Gulfport, MS, USA

Daniel had to leave as soon as the race was over, therefor isn't pictured.

I found the brake disk.....price was $81usd! WOW...it better work good for that price:lol:

I couldn't find the brake pads,

AddictedToRacin 07-22-2008 11:48 AM

Hmm, brake disc (http://www.capricornrc.com/os_capric..._27&vat_disp=0) is priced about 57$.
Brake pads are a custom product of Mr. Kissling. I don't remember his website though. He makes special pads for all kind of cars but not for the NT1. I send him the brake pad holders and he glued his raw pads on it. We grinded it then down to a reasonable size. Don't know if he does now pads for the car.
I would at first try the brake disc alone because it helps a lot!

Thanks in advance!

nice! Thought it may be more than that, but the less changes the better.

Can anyone recommend a setup sheet to start with? Gonna run on a medium size asphalt track. 100 x 70 ft in size.

The setup sheet that comes in the kit works very well. Just adjust it to your drining.
