Mr. Shookie 12-20-2006 08:38 AM

Lets just say if it anything like it EP counterpart, it will be tough as nails and fast as sin.

If there was more of a class near me I would indeed be getting one of these....

More Rumors.. Just like the Serpent 760... More vapor wear... Show some pics as proof... Heck I can post that there's a MTX 5 coming out in 2007 or a Kyosho RRRR coming out... Proof is in the pics... Nothing on any internet searches... Just more rumors from 2 other RC sites... It makes for good reading since things are kinda quite during the holidays... Show some proof... It sounds goods.. I'll believe when I see it... Then I'll buy it...

You see that more in video games release dates... Anyways... This car was rumored I believe sometime last year... For some of you that can't read between the lines... If the car is released... Great  I hope it is and does very well... It's always nice to have something new to race with...

There's a difference between a rumour that is unconfirmed and a teaser release from a manufacturer....

It's coming....

OMFG, you are right.

BUT, I just looked at the outlines again and saw that the wheels HAVE TO BE the same than on the Mugen MTX2, so I think they'll re-release the MTX2 with spring steel CVD's!

How's that for an outline-guess? :weird:

moy 12-20-2006 09:03 PM

whats the price range?

Oh and Rc-Alan, chill bro.....
If Xray posted it on there offical site....its a done deal. If they put Spring 07....it will be at or near that time line.
The T2 was listed to come out and a time line was posted well before the car was photographed. The car came out about one week late do to some Customs issues.
Sometimes I forget patience doesn't grow on trees.

Scoobs 12-20-2006 09:14 PM

I'm pumped to see this thing! I wonder if they went shaft or belt?? Either way ima have to get one to add to the collection.

Props to Team Xray for getting into 1/10th Nitro.

Cheers,

TomB 12-20-2006 09:27 PM

they stress on the website how they are inovative, and the silhoutte picture doesn't show much of a engien shape at all,...i recon it might even be a lay down engine! :weird:

at the worlds in brendale all manufaturers had issues with CG issues, and the heatsink causing traction rolling due to the high mass of weight. they were cutting the heatsinks down...so if i was a designer, i'd be considering lowering the CG of a nitro first thing :)

im a dead set mugen fan, but xray is the bomb.

Kcdzim 12-20-2006 09:49 PM

That silhouette pretty clearly shows the heatsink vertical, so I don't think that's it. The heatsink is the grey lines to the middle left of the pic. the pic has the rear of the car to the left.

wow,
that pic reminds me of the mtx4 layout.
but then again, it shouldn't be such a surprise that the design is very close to what the big 3 have out there :)

lol go xray. kyosho/mugen NT1. :D ....the kyosho and mugen have soem very similar design elements anyway. i'm sure the small things that seperate a great car from a excellent car will be looked at closedly by xray. looks like a safe and secure first step into nitro. at least they didn't copy the serpent! :D

rc_alan 12-21-2006 07:09 AM

Mr. Shookie... Do I hear a Parrot???

I wonder if Barry Baker is going to race the NT1 or just stay 1/10 scale electric? If he does race it, that would be great news for 1/10 scale nitro... Looking forward to seeing this car in capable hands when it's released in the future...

RC_Alan

Roniel_R 12-21-2006 07:14 AM

The car should be debuted at the 2007 Winternats by the Xray team in Feb. since the whole Xray team is signed up for the 1/10 class...

Solara 12-21-2006 08:02 AM

Remember before T2 released..? Someone found the link for the whole T2 gallary.......we need that "someone" to do the same again...
It is not surprise to see Mugen/Kyosho look alike......but I think Xray will have its own surprise on the quality.

Average high end TC now is about $400 US roller.......hope this one will stick with that average price tag....instead of the 1st to reach $500 US

GrandeGixxer 12-21-2006 04:49 PM

Howard, are you finally going to step up from that 705?

SOLOARTIST 702 12-21-2006 08:27 PM

Nope....once a Serpent, life time Serpent..........beside, the 705 is just good enough to beat your MTX4, just the 2-speed alone my 705 will last 100 times longer.........(you know I am kidding...but not the 2-speed part).

GrandeGixxer 12-22-2006 10:02 PM

It was the mechanics fault. He forgot to tighten the motor screws when he went over the rest of the car before the main. It was a victory for me nonetheless. Even if it was the B.

Aw Gixx,
You've got it good having your very own pit mechanic,
hope he doen't cost you too much ;) :D

JLock 12-30-2006 02:20 PM

Well, it is about time that X-ray decided to get into this market. To me, they wasted way too much time on their fascination with the mini electric and mini nitro craze along with producing about 3 too many versions of their 1/8th scale buggy. Lets just hope that their car will have features not offered on the current crop out there and will be well worth the money. We need for them to put out CAD drawings, not vague sketches hinting at something. They have had enough time to produce at least that much.

buboy28 12-30-2006 07:57 PM

So this is another LUXURY Edition 1/10 scale nitro on-road touring car :) guess price range will be from US $420 to 500 :weird: :D :D

But dude, how could you go wrong with all that LUXURY....All leather and power everything :)

On a serious note though, Hudy did start out in his early years with "nitro". I personally would also like to see him and his team build an 1:8th scale. The dude is a briliant man when it comes to engineering. But you ALWAYS get what you pay for. His "LUXURY" as he calls it easily elliminates a few hundred dollars for the "immediate" hop ups. So I guess we'll just have to be patient and see what secret spring steel machine is conjured up! :) :)
