im having problems with my side belts after a full race day my side belt has about 5 to 10 teeth missing and that is after every race i have changed pulleys front and backand it still end up missing teeth does anyone has an idea of what that could be

I had the same problem and found that by setting the belt tension to almost the tightest setting its been fine and my belts have lasted longer

Lycan 07-18-2008 01:14 PM

You could try adding a 2nd belt tensioner:

how did you make the second belt tensioner

TeamCarnage 07-18-2008 01:58 PM

belts

Thats a great idea! I just had to elongate the adjusting slot on the mounting plate a little to take up more slack. I wonder how consistant the length of the belts are. I haven't had a problem....prolly will now.

Small piece of plastic. Hole in the top, hole in the side. one screw to hold the plastic to the radio tray and another to hold the bearings then I just spaced out the bearings with washers to align with the belt.

I can take a closer pic of it if you wish.

maybe you could do the same as lycan except use the new belt tensioner for the T2 008
you might just have to elongate the hole a little if it's to tight

Does anyone know what spacing i should use for my Sanwa ERG-VX Servos for both the steering and throttle on the NT1?

Also am i right to lower the fuel tank with the VXR LiPo pack?

Thanks

the spool

If you are running the spool, you are probably missing teeth on the front belt too. If you hit anything, and the tires stop turning, the weakest link is going to give. The teeth on the side belt, or front belt are going to strip off if hit hard enough. I would try going to the front diff with 100,000 fluid and see if that helps from stripping the belt before looking into different pullies or anything else.

As for the Lipo, I don't use one, don't see the need for one. Your taking the weight from the best place of the car. As for the spacing...you have to judge the spacing from the servo horn to the front belt pully shaft. 1mm is the correct spacing.

Anyone selling a XRay NT1 package? Looking to get a nitro touring car for this upcoming weekend. We have the XRay Challenge in Portland, OR and I decided that I would like to run nitro. Any help would be much appreciated. I need everything except receiver and transponder.

Success with NT1

Took 5th place in the A-Main at my first trophy race with the NT1 this past weekend. Check out the standings...

Still learning a lot and the guys there all helped out, but hey, 5th is better than nothing. Not to mention I was bumped in by taking 1st in the B-Main.
