Yea...I know! Mine is on the way, along with the aluminum shock top rings with the holes. :nod:

Hi,

Just bought an NT1. Before I put it all together, then have to take it apart to put better parts in, is there a reasonably accepted "short list" of upgraded parts I should just build with from the beginning?

Thanks.

the car is great right out the box.
you'll see :nod::tire:

Yes, Randy is right. the car out of the box is very good. If you have the need to spend some extra $$, get the lightweight parts from Xray. Clutchbell, 2 speed shaft, 1st and 2ng gear holder, brake cam holder, front middle shaft, aluminum hex's, and the hard front bumber all make nice additions to the car, but they are NOT needed.

What's your budget? $200-$300? OS .12TZ is a good engine with the Skyline v12 pipe, should run you about $300 for the both.

With the heads shaved off, do you have a tiny screw stub sticking out of the multi-diff unit? Can you use a small drill bit in a demel to drill out the screw? You might need to go to a slightly larger screw to salvage the unit.

If there's a small piece of the screw sticking out can't he just use a pliers to back it out?

bvoltz 07-27-2008 12:13 PM

Nothing sticking out.... I will have to try to drill it out....:(

TeamCarnage 07-28-2008 06:07 PM

Barry- I went thru my racer yesterday. I would sacrifice the plastic gear and dremel a slot in the screw and back it out.. Hope this helps!
