Yup, Mugen MBX7R front unis (MUGE2218) work on the front and rear of the D812 without any mods. You can still use the HB hexes. If you use the stock MBX7R hexes, your track width will be a total of 2mm shorter since each Mugen hex is 1mm shorter than the HB hex.
There are very subtle differences in traction between uni, cvd, and dog bones. HB already has a dog bone option which is supposed to give the most traction. I've tried the cvd and unis and can't tell the difference in traction between the two.
I usually use roll center, droop, or suspension settings to change the handling characteristics. Changing from uni to cvd would be such a subtle fine tuning option that most probably wouldn't notice the difference.
The big difference as many have noted is durability. I've had several cvd pins fail, so before any important race, I rebuild my cvds. It was starting to get expensive buying rebuild kits and new axles, so I eliminated all cvds and replaced with either unis or dog bones.

Anyone have a 23 tooth throttle horn they'd part with? Out of stock everywhere, and I only have the 25.

guys im getting into track racing and i own a d8T tesserman edition NITRO and I love it. I also own a electric Vorza.
Im looking to swap or sell off the Vorza soon and get a D8 or D812.
I have allot of parts already for the Vorza and the D8T.
So im just wondering should I just get the D8 or should I be going for the newer D812?
Would the diffs I have for the D8T still fit the D812? I know they should be the same as the D8 but not sure about the D812.
Whats the main differences between the D8 and D812?
I know the new D815 is out now but I cant afford that much for now.
Any help here would be great thanks

So I have a question about my D812...
Has anyone else noticed or commented on how much play there is at the wheels? By this I mean...grab a wheel and see how much it jiggles around because of bearing/axle play, tie rod end play, servo saver etc... I think it's quite ridiculous how loose the whole setup is.
Does anyone think this is a problem? Is there a fix?...and am I just crazy because this really doesn't effect the buggy's handling much.
