4 and 5 rained on them and he had really sub par runs... he just messed up the TQ in run 6 with a horrible crash at the start finish.. i think he is sitting 3rd or 2nd for the round now.. Maifield looks to TQ the last round

Rain, ruined his round 4 and 5 run. Guys who had the driver track went much faster.

Lots of people running the buggy everywhere! For some reason there is still some sort of stigma even though it has been on the podium of the Worlds the last 6 years and is currently holding the TQ for year 8! No denying it's performance and potential. I honestly think the low cost has hurt sales for some ridiculous reason.

Have you checked the area specific forum here on RCTech?

There's about a dozen of us that run the D812 in Brisbane.

Ok I have always loved hb cars I have raced a few of them on and off road
I truly believe this is the most perfect car around today
My main concern with buying one as my next chassis is parts availability in Australia
I know our local distributor is not forth coming with parts surport in the past
It was my biggest reason from running the d8 to mugen

New parts look great. I just got myself a D812 and haven't even run it yet, and yet I still can't wait for these parts to come out

Anyone know if the split center diff will work without the updated brake cams and brake levers?

Rooting for Ty in the finals. I'm hoping for a close battle with Maifield and hopefully one or two others in the mix, like Lee Martin, Tebo and my long shots Lutz and DrewMo.

I guess they will be offering several different carbon fiber pieces for the rear hubs once they release....

D812 doesn't need parts. THere is literally nothing that you can break on it.

Just like the optional Ackerman pieces would be my best guess.

Would probably be to the benefit of Hot Bodies to include some sort of setup guide since the car is offering adjustments that's far from old school. I gotta admit, when they released the plates for the steering knuckles, I knew it was for the speed of the steering but had no idea which was lazy versus active and I'm sure many others didn't as well.
Since the JQ White edition and the D812 are very alike, a manual/setup guide like in the JQ White Edition manual, would likely ease questions and people would be able to get more enjoyment from the car without the guess work. To sell and keep selling, make everything as user friendly as possible. Not many people now days want to work for anything when they can possibly buy a car such as Losi and with minimal setup work, be pretty darn competitive.

Ackerman options explained when released on there website: http://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/109823

I agree the JQ guide is a very useful piece of information for setup help
