Yeah that's been commented on before and yeah it gets sloppy. Torrance mentioned that that was taken into consideration in the design or something like that so the car drives the same new or old. IMO you can't be too anal about somethings (like some slop) or you'll go mad changing hubs, arms, bushings, collars, knuckles, kingpins and spacers every month.

7R front universals fit the front and the rear of the D812. They do not fit the D815 hubs.

No. Only the 7r front unis work for the front and rear of the d812 or just the front of the d815. Same pin as well.

Has anyone used the d815 gear box for the d812 internals ? The reason I'm asking is because there's a video of Ty's 2014 neobuggy car and it looks like he's using a protype version of a 15' gear box with Verza rtr parts , but I could be wrong if anyone knows could they chime in thanks

The internal gears are the same, it's the external gear that changes everything.

D815 gear box with D812 internals - No, not a direct fit*
Ty's '14 Neobuggy car - Actually uses a D812 gearbox that was 'shaved down'

* A new 10T input gear that will be compatible with the D812/D8TTE ring gear and D815 gearbox is yet to be released though will not work with the Vorza rtr center shaft parts.

The gears that have changed, are the pinion gear, and the ring gears, the gears in the diff cup are all the same.

For the d812, you use the long sway bars in the rear and short in front. On the d8t, you use the long sway bars on the front and rear. The d815 has sway bars that are bent differently and also come in a long and short version.

Yup. They fit no problem.

For anyone that's curious, the d815 sway bars only fit on the rear of the d8tte. When I used the d815 long sway bar on the front of the d8tte, I had some clearance issues with the steering turnbuckles.

Since trophy is using the same diff case, bulkhead, bearings as D812, thought would be perfectly fine to use the trophy buggy bevel gear. There was not enough room to fit in the D812's diff gear inside the bulkhead. I totally overlooked the diff ring that there was a difference between the two. Well, I guess just get the trophy buggy's complete diff assembly to run like D815 gearing but it's going to be on a heavier side since its ring gear is not lightweight. Just a stupid idea of mine would like to share.

The link above is directly fit to D812 if you are wanting to get the gearing of D815 which is (43/13), ring gear and pinion respectively. Just buy 2 of them. Along with it, just buy the 110 mm dogbone and 83mm dogbone from HPI Vorza. To me, that's the only biggest changed has been done to D815. Of course, you gotta get the 13T CB.

Cheaper way to upgrade your gearing ratio. I did this and been racing with it... I'm one happy camper.
