That should help you in your quest to find the difference in the two. :-)

Happy Racing!!!

3.2 vs 3.2r

The main diff is the chassis.. the 3.2r is thicker and rounded edges and they are now including the front end changes that the L4 has...

P.S. the 3.2R is the latest version out

Make sure your axle is the same length from the center of the car to both wheels..

Make sure there is not excessive play in the axle...

Stupid Question - Are you running traction compound?

Trinity Reflex 12

Does anyone have any experience with this car. It is amazing that you can search the internet for information on this car including Trinity's site and there is so little out there. I have one here sitting in a box waiting to be assembled and would love to hear any building and set up tips. The first two being, how do you mount the servo and set up and check caster on it? Thanks

JDXray 10-25-2004 04:31 PM

i have had the reflex 12 and it was sweeet but i had to get rid of it. For the servo mounting, you need a special servo with tabs on upper and lower parts its in the manual and you just put a screw on bottom with a lugnut.

As for the kit the front suspension gives alot of steering which iis awesome. I have seen some hybrids of crc with trinity front ends.

hope to anwser a few q's of yours

Where can you get parts for one

I'm thinking about getting a L4 and since I've never drove a 12th scale before I had a few questions. Whats a good servo for it? Do I have to do anything different on the mounting if I use a mini servo? Do I need to change the T-plate out for carpet? What spur should I start with for stock and 19t? Any parts I should stock up or springs? And whats a good tire to start off with for med/low bite carpet? Thanks.

clinttredway 10-25-2004 05:25 PM

David - The L4 comes with a .075 and a thinner tbar, use the .075..

I use the JR 3550 servo, which is a mini servo but it will work with the L4 without modification.

If you are going to run this @ Mikes at all, use grey rear and purple front or pink rears. I like pinks myself.

Other than that, the L4 is ready to go.

Jon is Da Man

Jon,
You are the ONLY person I have heard that actually had experience with it. I am so grateful that you answered. Everyone else just said they had seen one at a track one time. So thanks for answering....How well did you like it? I am concerned that my car is so much different than the reflex 12's of Kinwald and others at the worlds....anything at all that you can add including what pitch gears to use and what spur and gear teeth are good starting points would be appreciated since Trinity lacks any info in thier manual or web site.

JDXray 10-25-2004 05:51 PM

ya no problem, you should know that when you put the front end together take your time with those turnbuckles since there are like 6 of them. I really liked my reflex it was very low and quick, i only broke the t-bar once which was fine. They say to get the lower rear pod because it breaks. (I havent broken one)

You also have to use an x-acto knife or something and file the top plastic part so you can get your turning. It should be in the manual on that.

Hope it helps.

Im looking to get a 1/12th in the next month or so (bring on christmas! need to give the better half an idea on something to get me, 1/12 is the only thing I want :D ), and im interested in either the RC12L4 or the CEFX C12.

Im leaning towards the RC12L4 particularly seeing as it just got 1st and 3rd at the worlds, but I do like what Cyrul has done/is doing for the sport and I want to support his venture into building car kits (and its no slouch either), but everywhere I look it seems that either of them are not in stock or havent been released yet? What is the deal with either of these cars? Are they still to be released, or just selling like hotcakes?
