I will be racing 1/12 mod (4.0t) in outdoor asphalt track (surface temp. ~55 Celsius) any suggestion on tire preperation ( tracking compound wear out lot faster than cooler days) ? I am using NASA v3 yellow can.

Shock pump the rears for 1 hour and a sauce a 1/8~1/4 for 15~20 minutes for the front (no pump). But, then again, I don't know your tire combination.

AT the 1/12 Euro's it was the Xray X12, closely followed by the CRC, then the Zen Racing Associated conversion

Thanks TOADYY.

So far things are looking good. I still have one more qualifier to go. Hopefully I can improve on my standings. Currently sitting 9 overall. I'll do my best tomorrow. The TKO differential rings have been working flawlessly.

The BRCA have announced its calendar of events for the 2015/16 British National championship for 1/12th scale electric LMP cars. The championships will be contested over 5 indoor rounds on carpet, with each driver’s best 3 scores counting towards their final placing in the series. During the season we will visit several of the established venues, but also a couple of new ones. The venues have been chosen based on their geographic spread, the level of their track and facilities, their previous track record of hosting similar events and of course the feedback we have received from our competitors from last year.

Calendar Dates
October 31st – November 1st – West Kent (Tonbridge)
November 21st/22nd – Crewe
December 12th/13th – Tamworth
February 20th/21st – Newbury
March 19th/20th – Leeds (MB Models)

Classes
The same race classes from 2014/15 have been retained following positive feedback from competitors, who seem happy with the format following another successful and well attended series of events last winter.

Classes – Saturdays
– 1/12th Scale 10.5 Stock Class (for cars running 1S LiPo batteries, 10.5 turn brushless motors and approved ‘blinky’ speed controllers)
– 1/12th Scale 13.5 Stock Class (for cars running 1S LiPo batteries, 13.5 turn brushless motors and approved ‘blinky’ speed controllers)

Classes – Sundays
– 1/12th Scale Open Modified Class (for cars running 1S LiPo batteries, modified brushless motors and open speed controllers)
– 1/12th Scale 10.5 Sport Class (for cars running 1S LiPo batteries, 10.5 turn brushless motors and approved ‘blinky’ speed controllers as on Saturday)

Other Info
Booking in for events is done via the BRCA website and will be available soon. Further information can be found by visiting http://www.brca.org/12c.

There will be no national championship round on the usual January date (16/17 Jan) due to a Reedy 1/12 Race of Champions event being hosted by the BRCA at the centre:MK shopping mall in Milton Keynes. More details on that event will become available in due course.

To find out more about this or the national series you can email [email protected], message me on here or via Facebook, or check out our official Facebook page titled 'BRCA 1/12th Scale Nationals'.

Whats a good, inexpensive ESC for 1/12th? Im coming form onraod gas, and Ive never driven a 1/12th scale, Im just looking for something to practice with, as I have 2 electric tracks close to me, but the gas track is 1 hour away and its only 2 weekends of the month. Oh, and I have an older car, its a rc12r5.

thanks!

Try the SMC esc, it's a great price with the programming box.

If you get it let us know how it is.

I'd go with something like a Hobbywing JustStock.

Assuming you're not running mod though.
