Also, How do the Gravity G12's fit into the mix? They only use a soft/medium/hard rating.
Pro One RC also offers these compounds, however you must run his rear hubs due to the odd offsets. Pricing is great directly from Pro One RC.

CRC spells them blu and greene to eliminate confusion with the old blues and greens. BSR doesn't. They don't make the old blues anymore so a bsr blue on the black crc wheel should always be the new blue.

Great, thanks! BSR keeping the old PN for the new compound made things a bit confusing. lol. I'll get some tires on order asap. TQRC has the BSR blue in stock for the front and rear.

Never use the BSR web site as a reference! 😀

The best thing it does is provide contact info for when you need it.

And just in case you are curious it's been over five years since BSR had "old blue" for 1/12tires. The foam hasn't even been made for maybe 6/7 years.

Hey Guys,

Wanted to get some thoughts on tire prep for indoor carpet racing.
At my local track we have a control goop that they produce.
I have noticed some nights as the track grips up my car begins to lift if I steer too aggressively. This gets worse as the race goes on.

Do you guys clean your tires with brake cleaner before applying goop? Does anyone have a fool proof process that they follow that yields consistent results?

cheers,

BD

Try a little super glue on the outside sidewall of the front tires. Settles down a tippy car in high bite. If that's not enough, go up a rate on the front springs.

Thanks Sean, I will try a harder spring. We already run glue on the fronts.

Cheers,

BD

I am not in front of it right now.
MT4s
D/R 48
EXP -5
I don't recall the setting but there is one that slows down the response when you let off throttle. This is 10.
Being a TC driver I am still coming to terms with keeping some throttle on.

Been racing 12th for 3 months or so in mod class. I have just noticed that both the track changes and the car changes throughout the race days and week to week. I guess I am looking to keep things as consistent as possible to rule out anything I am doing with the changes in how the car feels. In terms of pace I am one of the faster guys at our club. Just always looking for that little bit more

Before 1/12th scale racing, I too was in TC. One thing I found made a big difference in the handling department was running -15~-20 steering expo. The D/R seems small, but if it's working, don't bother in changing it. It won't hurt to bump it up and see what it does to the handling of the car/lap times.

I would look at trying out -10~-15 throttle expo. See what you "feel" is right for you.

Cheers,
Will play around with this a little more. Need a test day.

I just built my first 1/12 scale and I was wondering if there was anything you guys do to make sure the pivot balls are super smooth and the hinge pin in the front is too. Thanks

Most pivot balls are teflon coated, just make sure it is free in the pivot block and it will be ok. You can use metal polish to polish the hinge and king pins just don't take to much materials off or it will be a bit sloppy.
