no thanks on the shocks although id like them, im trying to keep costs down. im planning on running stock, ive got a monsterstock right now and ive got a new armature for it on the way for racing. i guess foams are good, about how much would a 0.1 second or faster, 100+oz-in torque servo go for used?

wow .01 sec Servo?  if you find that let me know.
For a .11 which is fast with about 120-130 torque its like a Futaba 9450,futaba9451 aroun 50$ used. for a .06 sec 130 torque your looking at around 75$:D |

Hey all.
I got a BMI TC3 that I am using the Reedy heatsink / fan. Works great. Just a few questions: 1. I heard that if you put the input for the fan in the battery spot instead of the third channel you will get more rpm for the fan, is that true? 2. I got the old arms on my tc3 with the single holes. So far the car handles well, what will getting the new arms and mounting to the new arm position due on the car? 3. I just ordered a set of sway bars to have as a tuning option as I run on carpet. When running the sway bars front and rear, what will the car feel like ? I am looking to get quicker change of direction as it seems I am getting alittle bit more chassis roll than I like. Thanks! |
i never understood tire selection for asphalt (i race carpet) but I have asked around and I know for a fact that on nitro Touring Cars foams are used, so im assuming that they would be used on electrics too. Ask some of the people at your local track, see what compounds they are runnin.

Cain: Nobody uses the 2nd inner hole on the rear arms as far as i know, so don't bother with them. The front are only really used if you run a rear shock tower on the front, in which case they're a necessity. so if you get them for the front, might as well get a spare rear shock tower at the same time.
i really like swaybars on the car in most situations, they give a quicker change of direction and somehow often seem to give more grip as well :weird: but then i race on asphalt so it might be completely different on carpet |
I just got one of those JCE Racing heatsink/fans I'm gonna review it for www.RCXotic.com
Also what should pinion gear should I run with a 19t motor w/ a 100t spur. I'm running 64pitch. I know it depends on the track, but what are you guys running? |
hi guys, i jsut got a tc3 after not having one for like a year or so. It has some delrin it hink bevel gears with ti but they dont really fit in it has the delrin diff gear fitted but the bevel gear wont fit properly is thre any modificatio to be done to these for them tio fit

Whats the 19 turn motor you are using?
|
Chameleon & Axiom 19t (C2 design).
|
I would start my gearing at the 36 degree stock motor setting, which for you would be about a 36 tooth pinion.
Start there and monitor motor temp. |
