Where can you get a carbon fiber shaft from?

actually the team kit comes with the aluminium one nowadays i believe, so unless you have one lying around from an old kit they will be very hard to find, unless you feel like buying a racer or RTR kit just for the shaft :ha:

I remember that the old FT kit came with the carbon fiber shaft.

all kits used to come with the composite or CF shaft .. but since the introduction of the NTC3 they have switched over to the alum. models .... as a matter of fact .. if you can even find a CF one anymore ... they were more expensive than the alum. models once Assc. switched over ... I asked the local hobby guy here and he thinks that all of the kits have switched over now .. if not then the rtr is the last with the CF shaft .. just until Assc. runs out of em ... the last racer kit he got in had the alum. shaft in it ...

also .. nrctc3 .. what are you doing to bend the alum. shaft ... I am no never hit anything racer .. but even with a 7x1 in the car on carpet with foams messing around one day I have never bent or even tweaked an alum. shaft .... and that 7x1 was with a very nice 3300 pack ... a factory driver and I were messing around one day  it was a fun afternoon .. messing around with factory clas motors and batteries ....

have fun racing

:deathstar:

The Racer Kit and the RTR both, are now including the blue aluminum driveshaft. You should be able to find the carbon shafts in old hobby shops, just ask for them. They might have them in back somewhere. They are sort of expencive, at $12, BUT they are about three grams lighter than the blue aluminum shaft.

The carbon shafts are not made anymore, and could become hard to find.

RODDUDE: I had a great weekend on the asphalt! That previous setup i posted worked VERY well! (qualified 2nd in stock A, finished first, beating TQ time AND fast lap of the day) If anything, i pushed coming into corners. I tried firmer inserts, the preassembled CS-27 worked very well. Track temp hovered around 115*. I will be going to a one-way the next race. I was doing some thinking about foams on this setup, if the grip would be med/high as you mentioned before, adding a standard front swaybar, and .5* more negative camber F/R might do the trick.

My only gripe is a recurring glitch that seems speedo induced. Anyone else having GT7 issues?? Im about to set both of em on fire!
