If you can, try changing your rotor

What settings are you running in your Tekin?

Run Barry Baker's 13.5 setup and run somewhere around 8.3-8.6. I think your gearing is overheating the motor.

I feel like an idiot asking this question, but I am having trouble figuring out how to adjust the timing. I have followed the directions but the plastic end cover seems to keep it in one position. I am running a 13.5 X12 with a Tekin speedo with 203 software. Any help would be great.

The cover will remain in the same position.
Timing inserts rotate the internal sensor plate only.

With the cover off you can rotate the sensor plate to see how that works.
hth

So the only way to change the timing is to change the rectangular piece that sits on the sensor plate? I can't pivot the endcover like a Duo?
