Anyone have experience with this car? CN CR-F113P? Looks interesting, has IFS front and live axle rear, and it seams pretty cheap.

Its probably low priced due to front arms being wider than legal

It looks like a 3Racing F113: http://rcformula1.com.au/index.php/m...-f113-overview

3Racing are based in Hong Kong so perhaps they are dumping their old stock through Banggood. Or perhaps they are a victim of someone ripping off their design.

Suspension points must be inside the body, therefore likely to be illegal. Anything that cheap can't be good (at least not for very long). Be cool if a quality manufacturers made a fully independent suspension car like the 3racing. I would gladly pay the weight penalty to have a X-ray or associated rear Ind sus car. New Serpent looks like it could be a good compromise for pod design vs Ind rear. The elimination of side links has me very curious.

I have the original FGX and it handles pretty well, but it is so much heavier than the pan cars it'll never be able to compete using the same motor. Would be fun to have more manufacturers and more chassis of the type to race in a separate class too...

I don't understand how front suspension like the f113p would be deemed illegal. I mean, the springs on the front of pan car based f1 cars is not located inside of the body at all.
iirc, the rule states that "pick up points" must be located inside of the body. To me, that is referring to the inner upper arm pivot(s).

These big heavy shock assisted front ends never help anyway. Too much weight too far forward. I have seen people put F103 front suspensions on this car. A much better idea anyway.

All of the fast guys in my region are running a bunch of brass ballast up front on their cars.

I've had good luck with it if it's not to big by just gluing it back up.

Currently shopping myself and looked at all these cars in person. Even drove a few. Don't overlook the associated F6, as good as any of those on your list. Answer 2 questions to yourself :1, local parts support? Pick chassis from your list that has local parts support. :2, budget? All of these cars perform equally good +/- . Best bang for buck is Roche, toughest and most expensive is x-ray. I would go x-ray if budget wasn't a concern, there fore I am between associated F6. & Roche. Just have to pull the trigger. Good luck.
