http://d-drivesportsenglish.com/inde...or_maintenance

It appears the site is currently down for maintenance, BUT, in the past when i have visited, I know that this company does already make decal kits for old F1 cars such as the Lotus 49. So when they are done with maintenance you guys could check it out and may be one step closer! Id love to see a 60s era car come out, Itd be on the top of my list!

Saddly, Decal Island is done. D-Drive has also closed up shop as far as I know.

Not to worry....I have every confidence that F1 Paintlab can create whatever decals are needed for each car/team! Whatever Decal Island did, he can do just as well, or better!

Default Losi JRXS

I have a question about what I have been told might be a Losi JRXS.I know absolutely nothing about onroad racing or it's different cars.I'm pretty much an offroad guy. With that being said,I was wondering if anybody could tell me that this is a car worth changing over from a brushed setup to brushless...or is it old and out dated?

Anybody want a DDrive f103 chassis? Seems like it might have just gone up in value!

I think you are on the wrong thread...this one is for rc F1 cars, not touring cars.

You might want to start your own thread, or go on one about touring cars to get your answer. Hope that helps.

Team Lotus is correct, wrong thread. But since I run Losi's I can help out a bit. That car is pretty old and parts are not readily available. Unfortunately Losi has not come out with a new TC in over 5 years and this model is older than that. Putting a brushless motor is not difficult but using Lipos may require modification to get them to fit.

just got my f104v2 together and cant wait to try it out this thurs on carpet. I was wondering what the pros and cons are between the f104v2 and the exotek f1r conversion for it. A friend of mine just won the snowbirds with the f1r conversion on his v2 but ran 104x1 rear motor mounts and damper stay. Is there that much difference in the two? Thanks for the input

I got my F1 Safety Car decals from here: http://members.optushome.com.au/pattosplace/home.html

They also have a range of almost anything motorsport, including this one:

Just an option...

Yes he does! BP's decal quality is excellent! I get more lookers in my pits checking out the E20 set than the other guys.

AFAIK the D-Drive shop and track are still there but they have stopped international orders. Remember there's a big language barrier there. As well as the downturn in the economy RainbowTen stopped all international orders last year due to not being able to find a member of staff who could read and write english.

AMS/Decal Island are victims of their success. While they were only selling in Japan they slipped under the radar in the same way all those businesses reproducing Tamiya vintage decals did for years until one started selling hundreds of them on ebay. Once they start getting more well known they leave themselves open to being sued for copyright infringement.

Default Yokomo F1

Wow.
Very cool to see. Hope Associated or a third party could get something similar out of a 12R5.2.

The Exotek F1R is the link and pivot system from an Associated 12R5.2. And it's a proven winner.
