1. Because Im not a fan of Phantom or Trinity and their motors of the month and inconsistencies from batch to batch and I can't get the same motor a sponsored guy gets. THATS WHY!!!!! 2. why not use a TSR motor????? I know they're better then what your asking about. Plus John will be able to help answer your gearing questions.

I run a tsr 21.5 The One on a small (9 second laps) track geared very low...2.99...30/88 gearing. It is faster than any other car...when I can hold on! I also run their 17.5 in 1/12th...same thing.

Randomness of the day: 2007 vs 2019 chassis comparison. Found this image on Reddit. I canít believe how much the cars have grown overall (the floors in particular in relation to the sidepods). I really believe our F1 cars are now really 1/11-1/12 scale.

F1 cars were so sexy in the early to mid 2000s.

that is what Dale Epp was saying about trying to figure out how to make our current chassis look more realistic. Look at the old F101-F103 cars they looked good, wide and short the new cars just look narrow and short.

This is exaclty the job we've done with Classique.
To stay "true" to 1/10, we manage to make a 250mm wheelbase, which is correct to the 2500 used in the 60-70.

2018 F1 were on 3700-3800mm wheelbase.

This means that actual 1/10 F1 should be be 10cm or 4 inches longer...

Yeah, the old (mid 70's up through 1992) F1 cars looked fantastic. Wide, low, and big tires. I always hated all of the rules toward skinnier cars and skinnier tires (starting in '93), and was super excited when they decided to give them back some of the width and tire. However, the designers seemed to simply scale them up and make them longer so the visual effect didn't work really. I feel the same way about the general trend with RC cars, too.

An '88 MP4/4 was 2134mm (84") wide, with a 113" wheelbase. Even the latest cars are only 2000mm wide, with wheelbases over 150".

Anyone know if the Tamiya TRF 103 front suspension arms (the graphite ones) will fit an f104 v2 pro? I have the F104v2 and can't find the replacement part (51381) but can find the TRF103 front suspension arms.

Thanks in advance.
