Track may differ because of the Nationals is 6 races on 6 different tracks.
Thanks!
I have tried grooved Ride A and Schimizu slicks (543/545 I think), both on my "wet" F103 (cheap electronics sealed with liquid tape and silvercan motor). Rides are good when asphalt is wet. Tons of understeer thou. When there is more watter they became unpredictable. I even tried making diagonal cuts on rear tires but this didnt help at all. When the track starts to be partly dry, car oversteers easily when driven from wet to dry spot.
Schimizu seems to be more stable yet steer more. Wider range of compounds also let you tune your car more. x3S seems to be quite good, but this was tested on F104.

Can't help with F104 tyres, but for the F103s in rain (and snow!) conditions we used TRG Superion tyres or Tamiya tyre caps over foams. Both give as much grip in wet conditions as usual tyres do in the dry.

I find that any tire you normally use in the dry works even better in the wet...provided it is wet enough. There is that period between dry and really wet where nothing is going to work very well.

Looks too much like the boards at our local track. Would be just like giving the car "invisible" paint.

I've lived in Indy all my life, so I have a love for those cars. I've got some Valvoline decals I'd like to use on a Lola, if I can find the road course version.

Btw, if your like me and hate the current Dallara indycar, take a look at the new Indy Lights IL15. It is pretty slick!

I am in the middle of restoring my F104v2 after two years of hard outdoor racing. While waiting for bearings and other stuff, I made the F60 body. In my eyes one of the most beautyful bodies for this class. But what really grinds my gears is the lack of proper sponsoring decals. The F60 is just one example of a missing tobacco sponsor decal. So I had to help myself and made a mess at home with white vinyl. Here the result:

Recently bought the VBC LightningF F1 car and took it to the tracks. Im using the Solaris F1 tires, soft rear hard fronts, and sauced it with some traction compound. I couldnt get the car to perform as expected. The rear have no grip at all and would easily over steer out of the corners. The front wouldnt grip at all and would always push wide.

Giving it more throttle on the back straight and the tires would start breaking loose and spin to one side. Braking would end up the same with my car spinning out of control. I tried tweaking the chassis so both tires would lift at the same time and that seem to help slightly at first, but my car would still spin one acceleration or brake. The setup is pretty much stock, but I might try some setup I found online and try it out.

Foam tires made the car slightly easier to handle but still not gripping as well as I hoped.

I run on asphalt track with loose surface.
