Yokomo F1 tires are not rebranded. They are a totally different compound than the 571/572.

They have just about the same profile so they glue up the same. Pretty inexpensive tires. The medium fronts push a lot more than the 571. The soft fronts have a ridiculous amount of front steering, a lot more than 571.

The rear softs are not as good as the 572, but close when conditions are ideal. They also come with thicker rear strip inserts. 5mm instead of 4mm thick, but I re-use the 4mm inserts from my Pit tires. We have ran them extensively with some other locals. I still have preference to the 571/572 setup, but the tires are almost double the cost (at least here)

You probably know how much I like retro F1 colour schemes on modern shells.

I can across this very excellent wet site with lots of examples. Too many to choose from!

Born and bred in Norfolk means I like the classic schemes from when Lotus were based just down the road.

But I have to admit this Benetton really caught my eye:

Back in the 1990s I did race the original Tamiya shell, and loved the mix of bright colours.

Also looking forward to seeing the 2015 cars and colour schemes being announced in the next few days...

Here's a link with a huge assortment of cool F1 paint schemes. Albeit they are a bit inauthentic - however they are a great source of inspiration for all you talented painters out there.

I really like the Force India livery here....much more than the 2015 scheme that they've released. Thanks, Dale.

Default Retro Stuff :)

Finlay finished these two

N. Mansell's winning indy 500 Lola with radial tiers

The classic F103 Mika's 1998 World Championship McLaren with grooved scale looking Ride "A" tires - still needs the rear view mirrors

Cheers!

Nice!
Indy body is looking awesome.

What kind of rubber is recommended for a rain race?
Track may differ because of the Nationals is 6 races on 6 different tracks.
Thanks!

At Camarillo we ran the Ride A / F103 chassis in wet tarmac and it was surprisingly gripy as long as you avoided any concentration of water. We got tall tail roosters... amazing!

As soon as I get the Indy (F103L with water proof electronics) on a wet surface Ill let you know if the radials actually work

Besides McAllister's Indy car body, is there any other current Indy bodies available?

I love the lola. The indycars of the 90's were beautiful. Mansell did not win the 500, he won the CART championship and Indy 500 Rookie of the Year in 93'
