Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

TY. Not sure how the fluids translate but I'll give it a try. Also need to save for the springs...

Wasnt there a company out there making CF inserts for the rear hubs (instead of the plastic inserts) seems as the b6 and the b64 hubs take the same inserts.

Jake S, The ones I seen that they used to make didn't sell well so the guy stopped making them. I took an old b44 chassis and made my own with a dremel. They work great so far.

I was very surprised last night seeing B6 converted sprint cars.
I didn't take my B6D latemodel because I'm waiting on that square pack battery for it.
They want me to run shorties and I cant stand running those in modified, my B6D is modified not stock a shorty wouldn't do me any good.

Are you looking for Mah with the bigger battery or weight. If its just a weight thing a shorty
with a brass plate under it is the best of both worlds.

Wow you guys must pull hard on batteries. I run a 4000 shorty in my wheeler with 5.5 on astro and it doesnt seem to fade. In that case its squares or saddle packs.

Those 4600kv castles drain some power. I couldn't imagine running a 5700kv.
All my systems are 4 pole. If I had a 5700kv in this beast id be killing my batteries I don't even wanna try it!

Putting together my B6 and bag 1 or 2 didn't have the steering bellcrank. (91667)

was anyone else missing this? Did you find it in another bag by chance? Are the instructions wrong and is it not needed? Thanks

Its a cheap and pretty regularly broken item. I would say get a set from your LHS finish your build and then take it up with AE on monday.

Sucks to have things missing from your kit but at least its something any LHS
who supports this car should have on the wall.

I would check to see if they are thrown in the bottom of the box somewhere as
a separate bag.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to run a laydown in my new B6D when it seems that every online shop and LHS is out of stock till late march? Any ideas on a secret stash or should I try to order everything in the conversion separate?

I see you race at TRCR. Have you asked Scott to see if he has or can get the parts separately?

I haven't yet, I thought I would just be able to order the kit online since they were out of stock. I'll be making that call shortly

UPDATE: Everything but the case... same as everywhere I've found.
