Cav, look what you've done! People are crazy!

What would be a good gearing for a 17.5 blinky running a tekin gen 2 motor full timing, with a tekin rs pro?? Track is medium sized medium bit clay. West coast raceway to be exact.

what I find interesting is that some guys are saying moving the spindle up gives you more steering. My buddy was working with Cockerill on his Schumacher and one of the adjustments he told him to do was LOWER the spindle to increase his steering. When he tried it, it did give him more steering. I would love to figure this out because you can never have enough steering

This is correct, lower=more steering. It was an option till the HEX front started to be norm.

Has anyone tried playing around with the 1.5 pistons with thinner oil front or rear? From what I read majority are running 1.6 pistons and the selected few are running 1.7's. Just curious

Any feedback or comments?

Wildcat1971 03-01-2013 05:47 AM

I have not because the 1.6s have a ton of pack and the lower speed damping is not great. I dont htink i would want to go lower. The difference between 1.6 and 1.7 was pretty large for me. So I would think 1.5 would be horrible.

holy hell..... I could just imagine it. 1.5 and 15 wt oil haha

do you think there could be some benefit to say the 1.5s with 2 1.1s drilled like I think avid sells or even 1.6s with 2 1.1s for low speed damping effect?

Hideeho
I am currently running split pistons. I use the 1.5 w/ 20w front & 1.7 w/ 32.5w rear. The theory is to even up the piston speed. I have been very happy with the results.

I'm waiting for guys to start putting BB V2's back on their cars :D...... you know the circle is not yet complete!
