"my people need me", what is that?

I run the Garodisk, but have not tried the VTS or Triad. The Garodisk truly is set it & forget it. I've been running it for about 3-4 months now. The only maintenance I have done to it was to wipe it off with a rag when I change spurs or work on the dif. No sanding, no scraping, no cleaning with alcohol or motor cleaner, no keeping your fingers off it. It still works like a charm every time. Even tuning it after having the dif apart has gotten easy. I eyeball how far I put the slipper nut on, do a launch to verify it & done. I'm now running it in my b4 & b44. |

I am currently running split pistons. I use the 1.5 w/ 20w front & 1.7 w/ 32.5w rear. The theory is to even up the piston speed. I have been very happy with the results. |
Can any one confirm if the AE Carbon front shock tower is any different to the plastic one, In regards to the ball stud height or shock positions?

do you think there could be some benefit to say the 1.5s with 2 1.1s drilled like I think avid sells or even 1.6s with 2 1.1s for low speed damping effect?

Yes, there is a difference over 2 x 1.6. I run the 1.5/1.1 in my buggy front and rear. The added small holes make the car more forgiving and add grip, especially in bumps. Typically I run 32.5-27.5 or 30-27.5 wt oil F-R. The 1.6/1.1 are another step further softer for lower grip tracks I run them in the rear. I run 1.6/1.1 in the rear of my B44.2

I took the VTS off for 17.5. I don't have the Avid or I would run that. Regardless, if you re slipping that much, you are doing it wrong. Remember, the slipper isn't a tool for traction, it's a 'shock' for your tranny.
We used to use slippers when the traction was very low. Of course, back then, we had tires that were hard as rocks and low traction then was a bit different. I guess now the cars are better suited for low traction. I actually got out of the habit of letting my slipper slip. :) |
Had a durango 210, sold it. Have the b4.2 for two days already and love it! Car drives so much more solid, shocks don't leak, diff doesn't skip a beat, couldn't be happier! B4.2 FTW

So heres the pick i promised. i would have posted a better pic but kinda thrashing to get my car back together after doing a chassis replacement and changing up my electronics for the first round of jbrl tomorrow. Notice anything or not notice anything? Not the body mount i have on the shock tower either.
http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/x...pseebc4c8a.jpg I mounted my esc capacitor in the rear foam pad behind my battery. I took it out of the plastic case and cut a area out of my foam pad and glued it to the pad. the orion capacitors are huge, i literally moved my esc back almost an inch. |
