WOOOOT. They just posted the results from my A main this weekend. I am super stoked. I beat my best lap by 1 full second, my top 10 was better then my previous fastest lap and was 2 seconds better than my normal top 10 and I finished on the lead lap. Wow, I cant really believe it. Looks like the changes I made this week really paid off. I am kinda motivated right now, lol. So me and the BB shocks finally get along and not the buggy is better than ever. +1 for just trying stuff until it works.
Here were the results. Yeah, I know, I finished 3rd out of 4, lol. But it was my best in in a year. http://www.rctech.net/forum/attachme...ggy_a-main.pdf |
Get more foam.

Are you not using any battery foam?

I am having trouble with my battery sliding forward.
Would getting the JC Monroe strap provide more surface area and hold the batt. down better? |

try using a single foam up front. Get an sc10 foam and cut it to length. Seems to work better than several small foams.

I think the wolf pack is shorter. If you could find a thin foam strip and put it under your strap to apply more friction to the pack and prevent sliding. Or find a denser front foam. The issue normally happens when landing on the nose too much. You could also stop doing that, lol.

hey guys just ordered a new kit, i need to get some pinions but im curious on some of the good ones to use. I bought some for my sc10 awhile back and they were noisy as hell, but couldnt remember what they were? just wondering what some of the best quiet ones are? thanks
|
I use the Losi pinions..... they seem to last forever and the numbers are easy to read on them. I despise aluminum pinions.
|
+1 alum pinion are trash. I used the robinson racing steel pinions. The seem to be pretty quiet

You could also try laying down a couple of foam spacers if you need to take up more room. May be a tight fit however.
You also could find something like packing material, basically that foam stuff use to secure items, cut it off, wrap it with electrical tape or similar, and make your own spacer. |

And WildGrape, you run on a high bite track, YOUR results may vary  I will ignore you forever ...:) Trcr is med to med high grip , on practice days it gets dusty & very slippery ... 4 Seasons med to less grip Brcr is med to less grip ... Most use the C-hub around here , only times we remove it is when we use slicks or the traction is so high we wish to free the car up for extra corner speed . |
One cannot say for fact
that c hub is greatest thing ever we know who is right it is a tuning aid results may vary:sneaky: |

Most use the C-hub around here , only times we remove it is when we use slicks or the traction is so high we wish to free the car up for extra corner speed . Ive allways felt the c hubs keep the rear of the car very flat with a shaved brace and either 1 washer or nonr while the a hubs with 2 washers lets the rear end roll more and give the car more steering. Different feel for particular tracks, tires or conditions or perhaps one person may favor one thing over the other. The talk about Hartson running A hubs at a track where im assuming C hubs are primarily run, well i spoke with Steven this past weekend since im running basically his set-upright now and he says he runs his same set-up everywhere and it works as long as he has traction. He is also a fantastic driver and him and his father Dan are very stand up gentelmen who are always approachable. |
Results may vary, PTY LTD
