Sorry to hear about your little more "decisive" break, drivr. That sucks.
Both of my peices have broken. I caught the first piece ( the one closer to the servo ) befor it broke all the way. The other piece broke when I got hit by a losi, and someone on here can vouch for that. Never had a problem with them since.

Have you seen the results? I've looked and can't find anything.

Hopefully Lutz was rockin' some RCSHOX 2-stagers...

thinking about the spektrum 6040 servo. It's perfect for my 2wd sc10, but not sure if it will be enough in this heavier 4wd truck. I know some people have used the 6040, but wanted to try to get a consensus. Maybe just get a little more oz/inch with the 6090 spektrum if not directly connected?

thanks!
I wouldnt go lower than 200 in. oz. of tq. These trucks arent that heavy buy with some of the track's I have seen, it's necessary. I run a JR-9100-HVS. 230 in.oz. of tq and a .08 second 60 degree transit time.

I've never had an issue out of any of the Associated kits I've ran, between 2 SC10s, B44, T4.1, B4.1, and my RC8.2e.

I love the way the truck ran, it was fast while it lasted.

I'm not going to run a Losi, so I'll just get out of 4x4 SC.
What broke? I had a few missteps staring out with this truck as well, but haven't had any issues in the dozen or so races afterwards.

One thing I noticed watching the video above is Lutz truck is always jumping nose down. Every jump to matter how far. I know he is a Pro and has great throttle control but it makes me think that AE still has something lacking in the jump department. Also watching the Nitro mains they do the same thing over all big air jumps.

I'm going to assume that you didn't put it together wrong 4 times in a row, so my two suggestions are to loosen your slipper just a tiny bit and try to make sure you're not on the throttle too hard before your truck lands off of a jump.

It could be something entirely different too....like maybe your LHS got a bad batch of idlers....they got shipped on a -50 day and got banged around in the delivery truck so they have hairline stress cracks in them... I dunno... but those are a few things i would try if my truck was blowing up idlers.
I was thinking i put it together wrong after i broke the second idler, so i broke out the manual, and it was build correctly.

I run both the 4k and 4.6k pro4 with lots of boost, my truck is on KILL when i hit the track
At the beginning of the day, i was running the mtk basket, with garodiscs and the nut flush, and it would blow in about 4 mins, however with no basket and just garodisks, i could get about 8 mins. Im a very agressive driver, and was landing on power on certain jumps, however, the slipper should have been taking some of the shock out, and perserving the gear.

Im thinking of trying hot racing idergears, however would running them strip the stock plastic diff gears?

Springs and static weight bias. There isn't much else.

That's too tight. How much motor are you running?

Is there a factory team setup ? My saddles should be here tomorrow or day after, I'm testing Saturday. (if it doesn't rain again..)

Did anyone notice a difference going from 1.5mm sway to 1.8mm orange in rear?

I believe all Durangos do that, they are designed that way.

Every time I raced with Lutz last year he jumped his SC like that. I think it's safe to assume its to keep it from nosing over.
