Both of my peices have broken. I caught the first piece ( the one closer to the servo ) befor it broke all the way. The other piece broke when I got hit by a losi, and someone on here can vouch for that. Never had a problem with them since.
Hopefully Lutz was rockin' some RCSHOX 2-stagers...
trying to plan out which servo to get for this truck. Is greater than 150oz/inch of torque enough? Or should the cutoff be 200oz/inch?
thinking about the spektrum 6040 servo. It's perfect for my 2wd sc10, but not sure if it will be enough in this heavier 4wd truck. I know some people have used the 6040, but wanted to try to get a consensus. Maybe just get a little more oz/inch with the 6090 spektrum if not directly connected?
thanks!

I've ran this truck the past three weekends at various tracks.
All running in first place in three different mains, the truck broke three times. 3 DNF's in a row. I'm done with the truck.
I've never had an issue out of any of the Associated kits I've ran, between 2 SC10s, B44, T4.1, B4.1, and my RC8.2e.
I love the way the truck ran, it was fast while it lasted.
I'm not going to run a Losi, so I'll just get out of 4x4 SC.

One thing I noticed watching the video above is Lutz truck is always jumping nose down. Every jump to matter how far. I know he is a Pro and has great throttle control but it makes me think that AE still has something lacking in the jump department. Also watching the Nitro mains they do the same thing over all big air jumps.
I know a few people were having problems with idlers when either:
a) they had either the idler or the diff installed backwards
b) they had either a pinned top shaft, or TOO much torque on the slipper
One would pinch the gears funny and cause it to prematurely wear, the other put too much power to the plastic gear, especially when landing at full throttle.
I'm going to assume that you didn't put it together wrong 4 times in a row, so my two suggestions are to loosen your slipper just a tiny bit and try to make sure you're not on the throttle too hard before your truck lands off of a jump.
It could be something entirely different too....like maybe your LHS got a bad batch of idlers....they got shipped on a -50 day and got banged around in the delivery truck so they have hairline stress cracks in them... I dunno... but those are a few things i would try if my truck was blowing up idlers.

Dual garodisc set up with some slip will not blow an idler gear, V1 or the soon to be released V2 center dif will also not blow an idler gear. I STILL have my original idler gear and its been over a year! I dont drive my truck lightly so that not why! I run both the 4k and 4.6k pro4 with lots of boost, my truck is on KILL when i hit the track

Im thinking of trying hot racing idergears, however would running them strip the stock plastic diff gears?

pro 4 4000kv. I should have put that i started with the nut flush b4 i stripped the first one, then went 1 turn out from flush, and it didnt change a thing. there is no resistance in any of the drive train either. Im stumped with this one
Is there a factory team setup ? My saddles should be here tomorrow or day after, I'm testing Saturday. (if it doesn't rain again..)
Did anyone notice a difference going from 1.5mm sway to 1.8mm orange in rear?
