No prob. Here in Houston, we have some nice narly 1/8 tracks with some big air time. If you happen to land and the truck isnt flat, you can bend the cva by compressing the shock more than it does when the chassi bottoms out. It has happened to me 3 times untill I added enough limiters.

I felt the same way when I first heard about this problem. No matter how far I pushed my truck down, it wouldn't bind.... Then someone reminded me that when your truck is going around a corner, it leans over and your suspension can travel farther than if it is just pressed flat against your pit table....especially if your corner is rough. You can also land slightly crooked, and have a single wheel travel way beyond the range of landing on all 4 wheels at the same time.

To prove it to myself beyond a shadow of doubt, I took my shocks off, turned my truck upside down so that the suspension would travel all the way up, and slowly rotated the wheels. Sure enough, when the slots in the outdrives went vertical, the dogbones dropped into the slot and bound up. Seeing that, and then reassembling my truck, I can see exactly where it happens through normal racing.

Here in el paso, the track isn't as nice, hell, my back yard track at home is 10x nicer than alot of places I've ever raced at (check my threads started if your curious). Plenty of big air jumps with the same possible issue with not landing flat. I did the same thing with my limiters and then added another thin one in the front.

I really dont think many people use it. Some people even CA there clicker togethor so it doesnt come apart. I guess you could play with it to see if it fits your driving style and track.

Depends on your wheels. If your wheels are tight and commonly pull the hex off the pin, then they will save you a lot of headache. I bought some to tighten the fit on my proline wheels, but didn't' make much of a difference.

I've seen some guys use it loose on carpet to help slide around the tight corners.

Thanks. i liked the feel of it back in the day with my losi xx4 and the Academy SB V2 buggy. May give it it a shot and see. If I recall correctly, this would give a lot of steering off power?
