Grobe, they're fun. I love my 2wd, just rare we have enough to race anymore. Time constraints have me down to 1 nitro car, so bought this to run on the bigger tracks that true 1/10 can't handle.
Where you racing at now.. the track i raced at in austin closed down.. our outdoor track in waco is got a good turnout for 4wd.. also.. killeen.. super small track has a good turnout for 4wd also.. thinkin bout going to Dallas to run at mikes..

You talked aobut the clutch basket thing.. i read about it.. and curious.. you think im gonna need it for outdoor racing?

Usual stuff. Mike's, M&M, Katy has a new track. Fleuriet keeps telling me about a track in Belmead that he says is fun. Want to roll up there someday, but my daughter's activities have me so busy I can't see straight. Just had to pull out of RC Pro State Finals, swim meet that weekend and my wife teaches lessons on Sundays.

Not sure on clutch basket yet. Still researching stuff like that. Other than money, don't see any reason not to add one.

I'm running the garodiscs, just 2, on a hi-bite indoor track. They are by far the best thing I've done for my slipper set-up. I can set them to slip for about 5ft and leave it there, no fade.

The garodiscs let you finally forget about the slipper.

I am glad you guys are digging them! i cant make enough of them, everyday three or four days i am out! Of course i am biased but they actually act like a real clutch in that it actually grabs hard after the initial slip! and while it is slipping its putting down maximum traction.

A short story of how i came up with them. twice a month we race venom motorcycles and the problem we have with them and hot motors is coming out of the turns if you grabbed too much throttle (which is real easy to do!) the bikes would high side and blow up! we needed a slipper so i made one using mini-t pads and it was good but going down the straight you could hear the slipper continue to slip and we were losing speed. so i tried making disc's out of every type of material i had , carbon fiber, carbon, aluminum, SS and finally Garolite (which i did not think would work) and it performed perfect! now when we come out of the turns we can pull the front wheel up while its still slipping and peg the throttle! pretty much the same action that they do on the SC10!

No, but luckily for you, its only a dozen or so screws to blow up the front end.

I'm ready to build my SC10 4x4, any steps I should be aware of during assembling or I simply follow the manual?
