That's fine, like I said cool mod, you'll have to let others know how much slap noise you get with it mounted that way. Since it's probably not pulled tight to the chassis vs. the normal 4 screws mounted from the bottom.

Got a question guys, I just got a b44.1 and am putting the motor and esc in, I have a castle 1406 4600kv 4 pole motor, what pinion gear should I start with? And what is the stock spur gear that belongs in it?
Thanks so much, cant wait to get her all together and to the track!

[QUOTE=TJMac;10091375]I modified AE part #7336 to use as side mounts to replace the plastic tabs that screw to the sides of the chassis. Works like a charm.
What kinda modification did you do?
The plastic tabs are used with the under tray. Look in the manual on pg 24, the illustration points to the area where the tabs are saying to add velcro to both sides. This is to keep the sides of the tray secure. I use the traditional velcro between the body and tray for extra support as well.

If someone local would just build an indoor clay track I could take the sucker completely off

The surface that would normally come in contact with your servo on #7336 was machined down 0.075". Then I removed what would be the top servo mounting hole (wasn't needed so I machined it off....although you could leave it if you wanted). I measured the location of the round nub on the original plastic tab mount and drilled a 0.100" hole approximately 0.200" deep in that location on the new part. A 0.100" ABS pin was glued in the hole and machined down to the same height as the original piece. Then I screwed them to the chassis and drilled a hole on each side of the under tray in the correct location.
Piece of cake
I did this in our machine shop but it could have just as easily been done with a Dremel.
I'll take a couple more pictures so it makes better sense.

Okay I was looking at the Team C 4x4 kit. Has any one checked it out? It looks like the Kevlar diff gears will work on a B44? I haven't counted the teeth on a 44 yet?
Also the Gear diffs look like they would fit. Hmmmmm? Any one know ????
