depends on what your running right now. count the teeth and just go down one tooth at a time till you find the right temp.. investing in a temp gun is one of your best bets!. avg motor temp is around 165 degrees. im running a tekin rs with a trinity d3 5700kv stock 81t spur and a 21t pinion.. after a 5 minute race im at 118 . after 6 minutes im at 125.. but. i dont need anymore speed on the track so im just staying with whats on there.

my orion 10.5 runs at....170 after a full 4650 pack =]
I run pretty well with the 7.5 guys 8.5 ETC. Im ganna stick with this. I qualed 2nd on tuesday in the a and 6 on friday( 2 full heats about) And i found it easier and easier to get use to. Also its not hurting my 2wheel drive like many say it does. I just know not to drive like a 4wd.

Just a question from a cross over carpet racer. Just started running a B44.1 to try to stay sharp for nitro season, and was just wondering if more chassis flex would be a tuning option? I have cut the top deck in spots on some older touring cars and it really seemed to help rear traction. I also know that all of the current 1/8th buggies are trying to acheive more flex. Anybody try this?
p.s. sorry if this question has been addressed, new to thread. Thanks

From the shock stand offs, chassis to the inner hinge pins you want the kit as stiff as possible. Flex in the chassis will effect the performance of your suspension. Even more so than tire selection its the most important component in the performance of the kit. I didn't want my previous post to sound like tires where the most important thing, but in that set up it made all the difference.

Thanks for the info, but I was just wondering if anyone has tried cutting the top decks? My car is dialed already for my track, just seeing if I could shave a tenth here or there. I think i'll try it, worst case, I'm out a couple bucks. Thanks

Green 32.5 front, white 30 rear medium size and medium bite indoor partial clay track. Really happy with them. But there was nothing wrong with the silver and green combo either.
