It will bottom. I run the under tray, while my friend runs the tape. Neither seem to have any advantage, except, perhaps, in ride height adjustments (tape is easier).

2) Are b4.1 and b44.1 rear arms the same??
Now, yes. At one point the B44 arms were the only ones with two sway bar connection points (the one ball type I'm told were stiffer), now they all have two. The only visible difference is how they're placed in the package...

I have started running them and like them much better than the Kyosho non BB or Asc springs as well.

Thanks.
Chassis tape, but only the AE stuff. AE tape is teflon, the JC stuff is just a vinyl. Both protect, but the AE stuff has much less friction.

Put all the shims on the gear side. And use about 5 spots of diff grease on the gear. Keeping the gear moist will help it last longer. Most don't put enough on it and it gets dry enough to start flaking. Then it shears a gear. By shimming it tighter and keeping it moist it will last longer under higher power motors and hard braking. I don't sand my diff rings either. I just break them in slowly with a drill before installing them. I tighten a bit at a time 4 times till its ready to be installed and set. And you will note the T nut wont bottom out when you set the diff. And you will have more adjustment. I have 4 very smooth weeks on my diffs, heading for 5. I think the thicker tolerance is overall better for the spring tension on the diff. I doubt it matters much though.?

Sanding diffs are good if you want more grip instantly, but I have never had one last as long as I have not sanding them. Some will disagree and to each his own. And I do the thrust rings to and just ain't worth it to me.

Out of all of the rc vehicles I have ,see my signature, the B44 is the most fun for me to drive. I love that thing, it's a blast. It's so smooth and quiet with the Viper 10r esc and Viper 6.5 motor it's unreal. I'd like to try out a B44.1 because I cant imagine it driving any better than my B44.

I would say get a B44.1 but don't doubt the B44 is just as good. Really the only thing I think is over all better is the chassis. It puts the servo closer to the center. Other than that its the same drive.

I say no, not the same part number and the webbing isn't the same, read and decide for yourself...

well i got the shiny b44.1 kit for christmas! i got a savox 1257tg to go along with and will get a viper system and protek saddles.=]

well. It was a great build I still have to put on tires and body but I built it exactly the manual told me. I will probably try losi bb springs just because the help the car get more stable over the rythem section.

As of 6-8 months ago, they were definitely different (it's obvious if you hold two old arms up next to each-other, and not just from the sway bar mount points - they're actually a different shade because one has more carbon than the other), but when I bought spare ASC9582 (B4.1 parts list) and ASC9764 (B44.1 parts list) arms about 3.5 months ago along with a new B4.1FT, every rear arm was exactly the same. At first I thought my order was screwed up because it looked like I had a whole bunch of ASC9764s and no ASC9582s, until I looked at their tags carefully. As I was building the B4.1, the arms in the kit also appeared to be ASC9764s...

It'd be nice to get an official statement from AE on them, but I'm pretty confident that they're now the same.

Default Verify kit contents.

Can somebody just verify for mt the contents of the B44.1 ft, Is there green slime, shock oil, black grease, diff grease, threadlock. I'm pretty sure I have to order tire glue when I order my bits and pieces but what else is "NOT" included in the kit essential for a professional build.

no slime or thread lock, if you can get another tube of diff lube it runs out quick.
