B44.1 Thread

You could try losi oil? Or thicker oil? I get a couple of weeks then top them off and bleed them again. I run stock set up 30/35 #1&2 pistons. Let there be big bores.

I do have some tips on shocks. 1st build you lose oil to the O-ring resivoir as the rings will swell and oil fills the area around the spacer between them. I like to soak my rings a day ahead, the factory drivers at our track use the old white spacer claiming smoother better plush feel and seal. Prime the O-ring area with oil real well to. Slime is fine but I prefer using the oil of choice. Presoaking the ring gets you a more broke in feel asap. Hope this helps. I'm running the V-2 shocks and this method works well on the old ones as well but you have to have the bleeder caps to fully benifit a good shock performance.

Just acquired a b44.1 and am needing electronics. I'm getting a Novak GTB and 8.5 motor. How well with this combo work in this buggy? Also looking at the 6000mah GensAce saddles, but at a 25c will they perform well in this buggy? Thanks in advance.

The B44.1. Is dialed right out of the box. I kid you not! Nothing is required, build it box stock and race. Sway bars battery carbon hold down its in the kit. I have done nothing to mine. I run the LRP 1015 servo. Cant help you on the quality of the savox. I do see a lot of them though. Must be priced right or good..?

That set up will work. Those Gen Ace are a popular breed but I urge the the Reedy 5200. Nice snug fit. I personally wouldn't spare cost on batteries. Thats the heart of your whole system.

I didn't detect any ill effect in any performance. As far as down force. I did get 20+ degree heat decrease and didn't spend a dime. I don't think the performance was decreased at all. I run a 10.5 and didn't need to cool it. Tried it mainly just to see if it helped any and it did big time. Both motor temp and ESC temp. 6.5 I think a fan would be a good idea but I would add in the vent cuts just to help. It worked and helped a lot.

I ran a 5.5 on RS Pro and had to use an ESC fan and remove the front hole in the body on the ESC side. I saw very litttle temp change until I remoed a section in the rear vertical portion of the body. Air needed to get in and out! Now I run the Orion R10 ESC and a Orion Vortex 7.5 and it needs neither a fan or vents in the body.

Yeah everyone was right the buggy is amazing out of the box. I switched to kyosho bigs and loved it. No more slap on huge jumps, but handling was the same other than no more bottoming out. Ae shocks are good with the old internals. I preferred the old ae shocks over the v2 though.
Will get pictures of the new paint up by tomorrow.

Kyosho bigs... I was talking about the big bore shocks all the kyo guys have been going nuts over. I got them for my rbi and tried them on my 44.1 and hated it with the recommended springs for the rb5 (pink front red rear) got a set for them with either yellow or gold all the way around and they are great just as good as the ae ones in handling but no slap now.
