B44.1 Thread

I scored a B44 for a screaming deal and I'm in the process of kitting it out with electrics. I need a few pointers and possibly a critique....
Right now, as my skill level is ohhh about 15 years ago (Losi JRXT era) I am looking at a 13.5 turn brushless Trinity D3 motor, 2S Lipo with proper gearing and a Hobbywing 60A Xerun. That look like a viable combination of kit? This rigs main duty will be parking lots and motocross-ish areas, this buggie's raison d'être is to annoy fellow riders. Basher? Sort of, mainly to goad those guys with 1200 dollar titanium exhausts on their 2012 bikes by being quicker. I am a jerk.
I simply want easy power, little heat and dead simple interface. In other words assume my IQ is lower than the continuous amp rating on the ESC. I figure a 13.5 is sufficiently below the ESC's threshold for power needs and the HW will allow for a hotter motor if I feel the desire.
Also, any 2.4 Ghz receiver that stands out as a good performer for the cash outlay? I have a transmitter in hand (Traxxas....it was 10 bucks). I am a battery geek already, so I can handle that aspect just dandy.
Thanks
Dan

i ran a 10.5 in mine for a little, had to run it hot in order to make it decently fast. got an 8.5. shoulda got a 6.5 but its not a huge track.
How are you guys getting alot of steering without taking traction? Its hard to get a good in between.

Hey Leave Reedy out of now....LOL I would run the 5700. BUT, The Reedy Sonic's are the best I have ever driven.

Try rebars front and rear. Right now I run Holeshots in the front and Rebar in the rear. Off power you can run the front diff looser to. You want power steering or off power steering?

also gold and blue barcodes.

Sounds like a clay track? I would start with loosening the front diff. It will push coming out so be ready. You could add .5 degree rear hubs? I like them. I'm running zero right now. But mine rotates off power more aggressive than loosening the front diff with more toe. Its something to work with.
