Vent your tires not the wheels. This allows both water and debris to escape the tires. Also does not allow pressure build up (if your tire is air tight and not allowed to vent, any heat will cause pressure to build). Here's a video of Adam Drake gluing tires. Similar to the Jconcepts video just shorter.

So far the consensus has been - for off road - to vent the tires with small holes. Also NOT to belt / tape the tires, which will let them balloon due to inertia when spinning fast.

Yet you mention ballooning causing poor traction. Are you specifically referring to air being sucked in and not escaping causing them to puff out? Or do you recommend belting / taping?

yes when air is trapped in if not vented it will be air tight due to heat....causing the tire to shape balloon like in return lesser surface traction!

I never vented my tires until one time my tires got so full of dirt that they were like bolders. Im not kidding they were hard as concrete. I also noticed the buggy lands a lot smoother now since there is a way for the air to escape after landing large jumps.

Received my TQ racing sensor cables today. Super flexible - and much more fitted than the stocker. Worth the few bucks, imho. I'll have to tie that sucker down, too.

Cool Lets Go Racing

Ok, I'm all done and ready to go!

North Carolina in 3 weeks.. and I figured out I'll be 100 miles from Carolina RC. Awesome.

Check out the carrier / workstation / storage ::::::::

Btw - In the Ammo. can is my Reedy 4s 5500mah 60C lipo inside the Lipo Bag, and there's room for another.

Know how much all of this cost me? -- $110.00 for all of this. Still cheaper than the fancy RC bags being sold out there, and I have a lot more room and a lot more protection. Easy transport.

Think about it.... I got all of this from Home Depot (minus the ammo can. That came from an Army/Navy store of course).

question about shock towers, center diff plate, and steering rod:

blue aluminum (ft) or carbon fiber?

I would think carbon fiber because of weight and rigidity.

what do you guys think?

thanks

You sure it's 1/8? That looks kind of big. I just bought a punch.
