If the car is too loose on power, I add more toe at the hub carrier.

So, my FT SC10 is nearly complete (just waiting for my batteries to come) and I am noticing that my stock rear shock springs (silver) are kind of rubbing against the shock threads and is making a scraping type noise. The front's are fine, but both of the rear shocks make this noise. It doesn't seem like it would be a big deal, but I have read previous messages on here that say it is actually a pretty big deal. Therefore, what do you guys recommend I do to fix this issue? I suppose they could be dremmeled or what not, but I would honestly rather just buy springs that work right and don't need modifications. Should I switch to Losi springs or something, and if so, what color do you guys recommend? Thanks for all of the help!

The Losi BB springs won't hit.

I run The AE green springs in the rear on most of my car's. they don't seem to touch anything when compressed.

I have used the Losi Yellow/pink rear. the yellow caused a lot of push.
If you want to use the Losi springs
The upper collars I used are Traxxas # 3768 and the lower cups are Losi TLR5095
Springs for the rear are Yellow #5167 Pink #5168.

The green AE springs work well though.

Thanks man. Yeah, I'd like to stick with AE stuff, so I will probably just try the green springs you mentioned. That seems odd that the green springs don't rub but the silver ones do (I fully trust you though). I don't think I'm the only one who has issues with the silver springs though, seems like a common problem.

IMO rubbing isn't a big deal. Irritating, yes, but functionally, it's not making much of a difference in the real world. Springs rubbing aren't going to cost you or make you win a race.

Staying AE. Get the FT spring kits front and rear.

I am running Green rear and am going back and forth from Front Gold and Front Red.

Gold seem to push a little more but not as bouncy on the small bumps

I have the AE spring kit, and all the colors rub on my rear shocks. I went the losi BB spring route. I know the rubbing doesnt affect performance but it was ruining my shocks. The BB springs work great.

Can some people give me some tips? Should I set the suspension nosed over? I was going to add some weight to the front hoping that would help... I have good tires on the car, setup the suspension with 35/30 weight oil and blue rear/grey front springs. Overall it DOES turn well but I feel that there is something I'm missing...

Any ideas? If you need some more input from my end just ask.
try and move your shocks on the arm in toword the chassis and give it a few laps and see if you notice a difference, if you are referring to off pwr steering

That is what I do. but that small brake tap is causing time to be lost. not a lot but after 24 laps it adds up.

I am going to try a different camber link mounting spot in the back and keep the gold springs on and see how it does.
