I have not drove mine yet but i added mine just for security thats why i used pre drilled spots in the chassis. But you could be right on the over driving.

They are available. I bought one from Associated as a spare. Wheels also if anyone needs em.

Make one or buy one, it's all the same to me.

I would have bought one if it was available.

I'm still racin, not waiting.

New chassis is cheap but you do get to rebuild your truck to use it, again.

They're around if you think it'll help.

Sorry bout the pimpin, did get excited about the popularity of em tho.

Yeh I got defensive, kinda felt like someone was tryin to 1 up me.

It's all good, thanks for the support.

Don't think they are being overdriven tho, it just has to be hit on the button.

Too many top drivers had the same issue already.

You may or may not get bit.

anyone considering boiling the stock parts. I used to do it to my 1/18th scales to make the parts less brittle. The plastic on this truck is a little different the a normal plastic though. I wonder if it would work.

JD... How do you like the 17.5? I'm looking to run something different than the CC 4600 or 5700. How do you think the 21.5 would perform in the SC10?

JDCrow 04-23-2009 07:32 PM

I think you would like the 17.5 better.

This weekend we will be testing several power configurations. 10.5, 13.5, and 17.5 along with various tire combinations.

I am thinking of handicaping certain Motor/Tire combos.

17.5 BL or 27T Brushed can use Goosebumps, Switch,Traxxas Kit, or AE Kit Tire.

13.5 or 10.5 BL or 19T Brushed can only use Switch, Traxxas Kit, or AE Kit Tires.

We will know more after this weekend how that works out. Some guys are already thinking of bolting big horsepower in these trucks since Goosebumps have come out. Id rather they not get the benefit, so I started thinking about a motor/tire formula to balance the packages.

Thanks JD.. Please post your findings. Our local track has banned the Goosebumps for the CORR class, only the AE, Proline, or Slash tires are allowed. So we have no limits on motor, but the tire limitations pretty much level the field. Our A-main was won by a stock Slash last night. The track dried out and most of us could not put down any power with the SC10. Too much power in too light of a track is a disaster. I want to find something with much less power. Would the 17.5 be about the same as the stock Slash motor (power-wise)?

charly71 04-23-2009 07:50 PM

have you tried adding some lead weight to youre truck?

I added 2 oz to the foam behind the battery. It's still a squirrel on the track even with the EPA turned down to 70%. (4600kV w/ 18/87)
