Thanks Don, that reassures me that I want a Revtech sometime in the future, but meanwhile I have a good motor to run (Ballistic) until then.

icon/ball diffs
Screw my gear diff it started clicking so i threw in my ball diff and I still have to try it out... i drilled holes for bleader caps on the rtr shocks, alot better but I will be buying v2 bodies soon ....my rtr turnbuckles are bending so ill go ft once i find all the money lol.
the icon motor looks really sweet and I was about to order one up but i got tires instead... my ballistic is pretty damn good I ran it 200 degrees after 5 min when I was testing gearing but it still pushed lol. I run it around 140 after 5 with boost on the stock spec... any suggestions ? |
my tekin was running fast last night running blinky i was almost able to keep up with the open class need to get used to 2wd though.

ICON motors is the house brand motor at my local track, West Coast R/C Raceway. The track owner Danny Stojakovic and a number of the top guys here run ICONs. Danny even won 2011 Roar National titles in short course truck and stock truck classes with the ICON 17.5. I have tried another driver's SC10 with it and it has good punch and top speed and heat was never an issue. I'm planning on picking the 17.5 up but the motor is so popular that West Coast always sells them out.

I bought a new Ballistic 17.5 , i'll be running in a no boost/timing class, its fast as hell but my racing buddy's said the Revtech is insane. They can't keep them in stock.

Batteries
What batteries are you guys using. I run a FT SC10 (17.5). I currently run 5000 25C Turnigy batteries. I want to upgrade, but I really don't want to break the bank. What do you suggest... Thanks

You can get them with a little less mAh if you want to save a few bucks. If you need ROAR aproved batteries then these:http://www.hobbypartz.com/98p-50c-50...case-2222.html |

gens ace. one is a 5000 40c the other is a 4000 30c

I've ben running GENs Ace 50C 5000mah in my SCTE's and my SC10, they have great punch and run times with zero heat issues even in Florida summers, @ 38.00 a piece they can't possibly be beat. Even HobbyKing can't touch these, order 2 and they ship for free out of Cali UPS.

I have the Turnigy 5200 30C. They are a little bit tall for the SC10, even though they fit with the battery strap bent a little bit. Anyone happen to know if any of the batteries listed above fit without bending the battery strap?

I like the 40c gens ace and the sky lipo brand it also very very good. I like mine a lot since they only cost around 25 bux free shipping 5000mah 20c! Hardcase is also really nice, the gens ace hardcase i feel like gets worn down and starts to luck ugly..
