AE Setups

I just tried Ryan Maifield's Nationals setup on my FT SC10 (minus the weights) and I was truly impressed with how much it improved the trucks performance over my slightly changed stock setup.

If you haven't had an opportunity I would definitely check those setup sheets out at AE and find something close to your track conditions, you may find something you like.

Hey Guys....just picked up my FT sc10....I have been running a SCR up until this last week. I have been helping a bud get his sc10 dialed in and its money! My scr was short on forward bite and always felt on top of the track to me...hoping to run this weekend.

Just saying hi...and will try to contribute to the thread.

My setup is as follows:

I never owned a sc10 I'm coming from a slash 4x4 should I go with the factory team sc10 or sc10 4x4?

Depends if you prefer 4wd or 2wd, if you've gotten used to the slash 4x4 then the SC10 4x4 might be a better choice for you

I've been told its allot harder to go from 4WD to 2WD than 2WD to 4WD.

Both are great kits mate, you will enjoy either one. :)

I have an Sc10 rtr that i have been throwing parts at for a little. Recently i tore it down for maintenance and was wondering about the rear arm mount. On my Ft I get different options to use when putting it together, but on the rtr, The instructions says it’s a 3+2. Is that the same as the 3.5 or is it just a 3 with 2mm added to it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure it's not referring to 3 deg toe, 2 deg anti-squat?

it might.. thats what im trying to find out lol.

the manual isnt clear on if it meant that or something else.. .unless im just blind and need to put on my glasses to read it. LOL

Asharus 08-03-2011 07:59 AM

The toe block itself should have a number on it. I think they go from 2.5 - 4.0. Then there's a little shim that goes underneath it. I believe there's a 1 degree and 2 degree anti squat shim.

I use 3.0/2 (0 deg hubs) and 2.5/2 (.5 hubs) in my 2 SC10s.

Moogumby 08-03-2011 08:01 AM

Yeah on the rtr they didnt have a number on it. which is why i was refering to the manual. I think i will just buy that set and go from there. hat way i know what arm mount im putting in.

I see... My guess is that it's a 3 deg 2 anti squat. I just saw Chris' confirmation in the other forum:

What's the difference between the a and b blocks that connect to the rear factory hubs?
