This is the 2wd thread. Please go to the 4x4 thread and discuss it there.
About the shims that was above mentioned, is there a part number for that? And will installing a ball diff fix this problem, if the shims are not yet available? |
installing a ball diff completely eliminates the problem, no shims necessary.
are you sure your RTR came with a 2 deg rear toe block? I think we just discussed this last week, it was either a 4deg or 3 deg, i forgot. i like to run 3 degs of toe in the rear. a have a 3 deg block in my 17.5 sc10, and a 2.5 block / .5 aluminum hubs in my 8.5 sc10 2 degrees of anti squat in both edit: i just read your post again. are you talking about anti-squat or toe? i've never seen anyone run more than 2 degs of anti squat |
Never seen an update from the guy who ordered the parts necessary to converted to front wheel hexes (as found on the SC10 RS)... any progress?
Looking to go to front hexes asap, but heard the proline kit is really sloppy. |

i am finding that for me 1-2* of squat 3-3.5 of toe(havent used 3.5 yet) and 2-3* of camber works well

I did get them and they are not as sloppy as the ProLine kit. Part 9881 and 9880 each come with the parts to convert both front axles, part 9883 came with the hex adapters for both the front and back. The adapters are plastic and do not have a way to permanently mount/secure to the axle which is my only complaint. Overall I am happy I made the change
|
Damn, out of stock on one of the parts now.

Awesome man. So you're saying I just need 9881 and 9880 to convert the front, and skip 9883 and just use another pair of JC hex adapters from the rear?

I will try this tonight for you. It may not work as the AE front hubs are thinner than the JConcepts and my not leave enough thread on the axle for the wheel nut.

9880- the steering blocks. The (9882)C-Clips as well, although those should be able to be sourced elsewhere.
Is 9881 for 2 axles or a single axle per bag? |
WOULD THIS WORK
TLR-22 diff rings inside of a SC10 ball diff?
