use 320g sandpaper and clean the pads & adjust slipper first .... If you run the slipper so loose as it is always slipping around the track it will glaze right up . DAD :D Only have a few more pictures.. Sc is at track right now ... Lay bar on top plate & eye ball the ends of the bars as to line up at the very ft edge of arm. This point will also be where you are mounting the ball studs on the arms. Be very careful about making the two holes you drill though top plate straight & even ... Start the holes with a hand piston drill like a #55 as to keep the holes nice & small & tight .... Use the black bars on ft & back .... Ps will have to bend the bar straight enough to slide it thought the top plate , then bend the wire back as close as you can . |
arm mnt toe.
Hi. Please tell me what arm mnt toe on setup sheet at the rear at top right. It shows camber, anti squat, then arm mnt toe. Can you tell me what it means and how to adjust it. Thanks

Mike, the RS is an upgraded RTR More than anything. RS doesn't have Ti turnbuckles or hard ano. shock bodies, yes the shocks are v2's but not hard ano. Is it better than a RTR truck, yes. Is the FT still the truck to have, yes. Only thing the RS has that many people want are the hex hubs.
If you're looking for the best SC10 possible, get a FT and add the RS hex's when they are available...IMO Thanks that is what I was thinking but wanted to get it verified first. |
Pads are or were brand new,the first 4 mins are good then it just slips like I have no tension on the slipper spring for the last min,I'm running boosted 17.5.I'm possibly thinking the metal disc are glazed over and I'll run then on some 300 grit sand paper and see what happens,I do remember when I was installing the new pads, the metal discs did feel really slick on the new pads.

Adjust your slipper so the trucks ft end raises a 1/2 in to 1 in . Hold both rear wheels and blip the throttle to test ... Check diff , make sure it is adjusted correctly & tight ... |
Well after looking at my truck it looks like the nut backed itself off.I had a few threads past the end of the nut and now when I see it,the threads are flush with the nut.time to replace!!damn thing cost me 2nd place

Hex's are better yes but stripping rims with the FT pins is caused by a loose wheel nut, not the amount of power..IMO.. I've run a 7.5 with no issue (tight slipper, pulling wheelies). The design works just fine, the problem comes in when a wheel nut is even the slightest bit loose. In the end both systems work just fine but the pins need a bit more care not to wreck your rims..

DAD :D ohhhh maaaaan.... Cool. Thanks George. The one picture shows about where it mounts on the front of the arm. That's what i was most curious about. MD |

Obviously your slipper got so hot it melted the plastic on the lock nut .... replace the slipper lock nut & readjust slipper... Check your slipper often, at least once before each club race as I describe.... The slippers is one of the most important tuning aids and has a huge effect on the cars performance... Mike , get her done .... Both bars working for you make a huge difference .... |
I am concidering a SC10, but am wondering if AE will inclued the hex front and rear adaptors/ wheels with the FT kits.

I have stripped them in a stock setup under the same circumstances. That's why I run longer pins that fill the slot in the wheels completely.
