I'm sure they'll make a huge difference on my ft sc10.

It sticks to the ground. I have dropped a full second off my lap times after I stuck those in.
Even beat my last best with a 11.74s lap.

I am running 30wt rear 35 wt front. yellow or 2.0mm sway bars front and rear and MTK clutch basket.

Tire help needed

I'm running an FT SC10 2WD with a 10.5 brushless motor on a hard pack dusty surface and would like to know what tires would be good.

Current issues include off power understeer.

Mid corner and on power traction/sterring is fine. I'm happy with the Truck setup and would like to get the tires sorted first.

I am currently running AKA Enduro's front and rear. They seen really firm in relation to the tires I run on my B4 & T4.

Cheers, AJ

AKA Rebars in the rear? A pro at my local indoor track has a 8.5T and uses Rebars and fly's with them.

Cheers,

Just to confirm should I leave the Enduro's on the front and run Rebars on the rear?

Can always try it. If the front is sticking might as well leave them on.

anyone run 2 stage pistons in their shocks?

I am running the RC Shox that Mantis makes on my FT SC10!

I love them!

For me it just feels like these pistons make up for the fact that Associated didn't deem to grace is with Big Bore shocks for this truck!

:)

Check out this link! I just put my setup sheet on there after 2 months of testing and tweaking! It runs great!

Do you guys run 2 or 3 axle shims? It seems even brand new there is a tad more slop than I like side to side.

Wild Cherry 11-20-2011 10:29 PM

2 shims behind the pin for rear axle

ive got a novak havoc pro sc setup with a 4.5t motor in it. it was orginally a 8.5 but i put a 4.5 stator in it and now it gets way to hot. i was wondering if anyone has attempted to run an sc10 with a novak 4.5t motor and whether or not they are having any luck? i also have the 13mm rotor installed and it is shimmed properly.

Are you running a 4.5 in your 2wd SC10 or SC10 4x4? A 4.5 is a lot of motor for the 2wd SC10. I put a 6.5 in mine and de-tuned it with my ESC. It's still a lot of motor! Your 8.5 should be perfect unless you are trying to set some speed record out on the Salt Flats of Utah.

Hey guys,

I played around with my SC10 2wd today after adjusting the suspension, putting new tires on the back, replacing the oil in the shocks, and I'm running red springs front and rear. Under full throttle, it doesn't turn at all on pavement because the front tires are barely on the ground. If I let off it begins to turn but only until it slows down dramatically do the tires turn on the way. It's as if the servo is so week it can't turn the tires all the way under all conditions. Is this probable? I even threw a second batter up on the front bumper to see if the extra weight would help it turn under throttle and it did almost nothing at all. So, to me, the only thing I can think of is that running a rear swaybar and possibly having a higher torque servo, and it might turn quicker on pavement. Am I thinking right? On dirt will probably be a totally different story because the traction will be a lot less in the rear, but I'm curious how to get it to really turn on pavement too. My battery right now is all the way forward, as well.

IMO the stock steering servo is trash. I had the exact same symptoms, swapped to a modest Hitec digital for $45, and ran into a lot less of a problem. Car still has issues turning while accelerating, but I just figured that was normal for the breed.

You need to drill holes in the front tires so the air can pass thru them allowing them to turn.
