Default Took Durango Plunge. I hope it aint purgatory!

I've lurked here for a bit... enough to take the plunge and grab a dex410 without the R as seen in the this post:

rctech.net/forum/r-c-items-sale-trade/480903-team-durango-factory-2010-spec-dex410-new.html

Any heads up things I should know about the dex410? And yes, I've started my nightly reading of 402 durango pages. Ugh. Just wanted to send a shout out. I live about 8 minutes from MOHR. Safe to assume some of ya'll are in the area?

Jason D. said either Reaper or Grapejuice might recognize the car.

Got a quick question for you Durango Guru's

I am trying to figure out why the DEX410 "2010 Spec" is $300 more than the DEX410R. Are most of you guys jumping to the "2010 Spec" or is the R a good choice for club racing.

If you look at the 2010 spec kit, it comes with all the upgrades... Aluminum arm mounts, diff mounts, servo mounts, side plates, carbon towers, titanium bits, and sway bars.

Get the R,get the aluminum mounts and P5 o rings. Done.

Those will not fit they are 3mm to tall . You need lipos that are 25mm or shorter . Venom , Orion , and Racer`s Edge are some lipos that fit .

Funny thing is I always see those K cars in pieces at the track. They drive great dont get me wrong, and they look killer but it aint no rango

I am guilty of wanting to switch to other cars as well but I always think of the times that I crashed and compared it to other cars with similar crashes and I mostly walk away from them while other cars break always.

And guys thats what keeps me here. the durability. I know no car is perfect and every car has weaknesses and strengths, but I believe my car is more versatile than anything. I know for a fact if I take any other 4wd on a loose blown out track, my ball diffs will be shot after the day is done. But here, with the rango, I know I can throw that F#$%er on the track with ease, AND the diffs will still be ok and just change my oil IF I feel like it lol. And thats something I would never change no matter what faults this car may have....if any lol.

Anyone have a recommended pinion for running a 13.5 motor ? Had a 7.5 in and want to try 13.5 I have . I was thinking of starting with a 24 tooth .
