1/12 forum
Hey I`m currently using the LRP SXX TC SPEC V1 in my Associated 12R5.1
When I was using IB 5000mah 4.8v nimh batteries(cells)I had know trouble but since moving to LIPO 3.7v. I`ve had to add a 6.6volt LIFE reciever battery pack 200mah or the speedo would just shut down due to low voltage over a 8 minute run Mod it uses around 50mah from fully charged.
And when using a LIFE theres no need to use any voltage regulators
Hope this helps
Cheers Daniel

TAKEN FROM LRP.COM
TwinBEC: A true BEC revolution! Constant 6V/3A output with 3.0V to 7.4V batteries. No receiver battery with 1S LiPo needed.
I knew that 1 or 2 of the newer ones did but the statment was all of them do and the older ones do not.

Shawn.
I suppose different motors will also be different. 1s rotors too.
I did find a post where some were running over 100 for rollout. So, I guess I am still fishing for what others have found. Try to include what motor as part of the info.
Thanks Chris, I want to push the classes that are reasonably inexpensive to get into at a competitive level such as RCGT. I know they are tricky to setup but I think 1/12 would be a good class for a new club, plus if we get an indoor carpet track next winter we might have an established 1/12 class.
