hobbyking's booster has worked fine for me, but i have had terrible luck with switches. you need to work out your own switch, but at $5 each you can get several.

Default Cirtix 17.5 combo for 1s/4cell

I've never seen the combo used in this application. In the past I've only seen it used in TCs with 2s lipos. I've also read the manual from Speedpassion and it does not detail usage in 1s/4cell at all. Could someone please shed some light into this?

Cirtix 17.5 combo works well with 4s Ni-Mh.

For 1s Lipo, you need receiver battery or booster.

Most of 1/12 Cirtix 17.5 spec racers are using 4s Ni-MH.

Thanks.

For the Critix 17.5 class what is the weight going to be set at? lipo 17.5 and nimh 17.5 are not equal in performance, did I miss something??

4s Ni-MH is heavier than 1s Lipo, but it has more voltage.

It depends on the batteries, 4s is a little bit faster than 1s. But 1s has it's own advantage.

Thanks.

Not sure with 17.5, but with Modified 1S is not slower... not sure if this applies to 17.5...
We ran combination with 4 cell and 1S and my 1S was much faster on the straight...

When running limited power of the spec motors, voltage is key.
Obviously this is not a problem with mod, where motor winds are unlimited.

Redbull is right, 4s is far faster than 1s in any spec class, 17.5 or 13.5.

That's what I was alluding to. That's probably why he said most are running ni-mh. Plus if traction is low the weight of the nimh cells keeps wheel spin down.
