definitely looks like that is an issue . possibly a plug filament
maybe a wrist pin clip ?
if it is still running good then it is what it is and leave it alone .
looks like you are replacing with a new rod ?

what brand front bearings do you recommend. i have tried a couple diffrent; bearing co off ebay and a 4c hobby and both failed after 2 weekends. the 4c leaked and seemed to let some dirt in this weekend and lost a new p/s this weekend. i do use a ofna bearing puller to remove and install.

) front bearing on the market is the new double shield on the outside of the bearing novarossi . it is the on that comes in almost all the new nova engines . i use tko ceramic front engine bearings for replacements . i take one side of the shield off to allow the bearing to get lubricated during running . i take bothe seals off and determine which of the seals has more rubber on the inside of the seal as to make a better seal and install that seal on the side with the open balls and install in the engine .

I have a question for you Monty, I currently run a +4 with the standard head, 077 plug, Nitro Juice 30%, and a DYN 053. I have only run indoor tracks so far but will be running some outdoor tracks soon. The DYN 053 has great low end (bordering on too much) and a decent top end, but for the outdoor tracks I would like a bit more up top and I would not mind giving up some bottom as I have tire shreding tq down low right now.
Would I be better off going with a turbo plug or changing to a DYN 086 pipe? I know that there are all sorts of other pipes and to be honest I really do not know the difference in most of the numbers. What would you recommend? If it is another pipe/header combo then let me know (something available would be best
).
Thanks Monty
