i have a 3 port moded but i will be running it in , my mate has a 3 port and as far as im concerned was unable to see alot of differance between the 3 or 5 port on the track , the 3 port was hauling some cerious ass .... he had the 2072 pipe on it

Just got through running my 5 port. Temps were a little warmer than I would like upper 280 low 290. Engine has less then a gallon on it. LSN is 1/2 turn in from flush. HSN is flush or slightly above. Engine was alittle sluggish in transition form idle to WOT. Is this normal?

Probably a little too lean on top. Long LSN settings - HSN .25 to .5 max in from flush. LSN 1 to 1.5 in from flush.
Read back on this thread a few pages about how the long LSN carb tunes. Basically set the HSN at .25 turns in and leave it alone. Do all your tuning with the LSN, maybe tweaking the HSN a screwdriver width as a last adjustment to get the last 15% of the rev range nice and crisp.
The 086 pipe suits the 5 Port better then the 053, but it will run fine with this pipe.
Don't mess with the HSN needle.
It is only the long 1.6" LSN needles that can throw people off when trying to tune the GO motors.
If you read the explanations and follow the instructions on the last few pages of this thread, your motor will run fine on the long needle. If you prefer a more traditional style of engine tuning (easier for most to get right I feel), then shorten the LSN down to 1.42" and away you go. With this needle fitted the GO motors will tune just like any other nitro motor.

I'm wondering how an ofna 063 pipe would work on a 7pt Go? It's supposed to be a mid to high pipe. I just got a 0801 for my 5pt but I have 2 buggies I like set up a little different with different motors for obvious reasons and happen to have a 063 laying around. My other pipe choices I have are a werks 2013, and a THS 8016H. Looking for the best run time because these motors have plenty of power all around in my opinion. Thanks!

Thanks Rex. Engine is running great. I've got just over 1/2 a gallon through it and its staying between 240-260 consistently with a nice plume of smoke. Looking forward to losing the pinch and getting the thing fully broken in.

GO Newb fuel question...
Just received my new GO .21 5p and am readying for breakin. I run Byron Race 20% in my stock Associated .28 and it works great for me. Looks like most run 30% in the GOs.
I would like to run the same fuel in both cars but if the 30% is the way to GO then let me know and why if you could.
All input as far as fuels for the GO would be appreciated!

hey matt byrons fuel is great fuel. Tons of power and no difference from any other brand. I used to run odonnel but because of the spike in prices last year i switched and went to byrons and havent noticed a lick of difference

The stock 5 is perhaps a little too much for a buggy. The modded 5's are very powerful, but most are modded to be a little softer on the power delivery down low so suit a buggy better.
7 Port is a wicked buggy motor - which you probably already know as your running one
