Hi Ed. I have 2 of the 4 liners you sent and they are all the same. I tried machining 0.3mm off of the bottom of the liner flange and still the same. Any ideas?

I finally manage to measure the head clearence
25% nitro, 0.52 head clearance (0.3mm head shim)
Air temp 20 C, 6m above sea level, 80% humidity.

Will see how my power up against Shimo's and Team Kyosho this weekend.

this week Temp will drop from 23c to I think 12C tomorrow. Have you tried going with Plug #5 in this condition?

Yeah, #5 works great. I really liked the hotter plug. Last I ran it was around 20C or so. I also dropped the head a little for the cooler weather. .35mm shims for 30% nitro. Ran like a champ! I recommend you try it.

guys, i have just removed the front bearing, there is this marking on the case, is this where i should do the mod?

That mark is correct but there is a groove on the side of the hole.
When I had my leaking problem Kitracer suggested i check if the groove was on the casing.Here is a pic of mine.

guys, the groove of 0.6-0.7mm, i assume its just a few light cuts on the crankcase would do ?

You could use a needle file to make the groove.

it will take more than few light cuts because you need a small needle file like Razzor suggest. but should take no more than 5 mins to file that groove.
Make sure clear it properly after, in and out side.

I used a triangle file to make the groove. I went to the hobby shop and bought some .020 piano wire as a measurement device. I slowly filed the groove until the wire fit inside the groove flush with the crankcase. That way it didn't go too big and affect pressure in the case.
